Xiaomi today introduced the REDMI 100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, the company’s latest top-end REDMI phones at an event in China, as it had promised.
Core Performance & Processing Infrastructure
Both the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max are built around Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V series and 8 Elite Gen 5 SoCs paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 flash storage.
To maintain continuous high-load operations, both phones incorporate advanced cooling and auxiliary processing chips:
- Dedicated Display Processing: Equipped with Xiaomi’s proprietary D2 discrete graphics chip to manage frame rates and display rendering.
- Connectivity Enhancement: Features a self-developed Surge T1+ signal booster chip for optimized reception.
- Advanced Thermal Systems: Thermal dissipation is handled by circulating ice-cooled pump systems—offering a 5,150 mm² area in the K100 Pro, which scales up to 6,300 mm² in the K100 Pro Max.
- Gaming Enhancements: Powered by REDMI’s new-generation Rage Engine, the Pro Max model debuts CrossFire: Mobile in a 185fps+ ultra-high-definition mode, offering native 185fps support across 30+ titles and concurrent interpolation for top FPS games.
Next-Generation Display & Luminescent Tech
The series debuts the M11 luminescent material, developed in collaboration with Tsinghua University using phosphorescently assisted thermally activated sensitized fluorescence (pTSF) technology. This system increases green sub-pixel efficiency by 20% and overall panel efficiency by 8%.
Key display capabilities include:
- Brightness & Color: Peak brightness reaches up to 10,000 nits in a 1% window and 4,500 nits in a 25% window, with 90% BT.2020 wide color gamut hardware coverage. Full end-to-end BT.2020 color management will be activated via an OTA update in mid-to-late November.
- Pixel Arrangement: Utilizes a Real RGB “super pixel” arrangement with distinct red, green, and blue sub-pixels per pixel.
- Eye Protection Certifications: Full-brightness DC dimming, circularly polarized light 2.0, and 1-nit minimum brightness support. Certified with S++ visual dimension rating from the China Quality Certification Center and quadruple certifications from TÜV Rheinland.
Battery
The REDMI K100 Pro has a 8,580 mAh Jinshajiang battery (26% silicon content, 945 Wh/L energy density). The Max model has a 9,070 mAh battery.
These feature 100W wired, 50W wireless, 27W wired reverse, and 22.5W wireless reverse charging, managed by Surge P3 fast charging and Surge G2 battery chips with bypass charging support.
Speakers and durability
The REDMI K100 Pro has Dual 1115F speakers, and the Pro Max model with dual 1115D master speakers combined with a camera-Deco 2016 tablet-grade subwoofer tuned in partnership with Bose. An RGB floating light ring surrounds the subwoofer to provide visual cues for music and notifications.
The phones have IP66/IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance and ultrasonic fingerprint recognition.
