Earlier in the year, at the MWC 2014, HTC announced the Desire 816 as the higher mid-range phablet and it was launched in India in April for Rs. 23,990. The Desire 816 comes with a 13MP camera on the back and a 5MP front facing “selfie” camera. The internals are on the same lines as the budget Moto G, but HTC hopes to sell the Desire 816 with a larger screen, a much better camera combination and their HTC Sense UI.
Lenovo A7-50 with quad-core processor, voice calling officially launched in India for Rs. 15499
Lenovo A7-50 in the A7 series went on sale in India earlier this week. Today, the company has officially launched the tablet. It was originally announced in April along with a range of A series tablets and packs a 7-inch (1280 x 800) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8382 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) that is upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). Amazon 3D smartphone’s face sensing technology reportedly powered by Okao Vision
Amazon is expected to launch its 3D smartphone on June 18th and more details about the phone are now surfacing. According to a TechCrunch report, face sensing technology in the 3D smartphone will be powered by Omron’s Okao Vision technology.

Huawei Kirin 920 Octa-Core SoC with Mali T628 GPU announced
Huawei has just announced Kirin 920 SoC at an event in Beijing. It is an Octa-Core SoC with four ARM Cortex A15 Cores that can be clocked up to 2 GHz and four ARM Cortex A7 Cores that can be clocked up to 1.6 GHz. It is based on ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture so it can alternate between the Cortex A7 or A15 cores depending on the type of tasks. Asus MeMO Pad 8 vs Asus MeMO Pad 7 Photo Gallery
At the Computex 2014 event held in Taipei, Asus announced successors to the MeMO Pad 7 and MeMO Pad 8. The Asus MeMO Pad 7 wasn’t much of an update, but the MeMO Pad 8 was updated with a better Full HD display and internal specifications overhaul. We managed to get our hands on both the updated Asus MeMO Pad 7 and Asus MeMO Pad 8 and we shot a photo gallery comparing the two MeMO Pads.

Dropbox acquires IM platform Droptalk
Dropbox has scooped up instant messaging startup Droptalk for an undisclosed sum. The startup enables users to send links privately via Chrome extensions along with and chats. Hitman: Sniper coming to smartphones and tablets as a free to play game later this year
Square Enix released Hitman Go for Android yesterday, couple of months after releasing it for the iOS. Today the company has announced a new game called Hitman: Sniper. This would be a competitive sniping game, almost similar to the Hitman: Sniper Challenge developed by Io-Interactive, unlike a puzzle game. Xolo Q1200 in the Q-CORE series went on sale online last week. Now Xolo has officially unveiled the smartphone. As we already know, it has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with Dual LED Flash, Sony Exmor R sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Twitter scoops up native ad platform Namo Media
In a bid to expand its reach in mobile advertising, Twitter has acquired native ad firm Namo Media. The actual deal amount is not disclosed by the either of the company but Tech Crunch touts that it is around $50 million. NVIDIA Shield 2 possibly spotted at FCC
An unknown NVIDIA Shield console codenamed P2570 has been spotted at the FCC. This could be the successor of the NVIDIA Shield that surfaced recently on AnTuTu. According to the image on the FCC, it is wider on the sides, probably for a better grip and the bushes are also bigger on the bottom. Simplocker Android malware encrypts file and demands ransom
A new Android malware is affecting Android phone users in Ukraine by locking their mobile data. Called as Simplocker, the malware scans the device’s SD card or internal storage, encrypting any data files it finds there with a range of extensions, including obvious ones such as .jpg, .doc, .avi, and mp4. It then demands a ransom from them to recover their files.

This also adds new bonus levels, new vehicles such as Orion Crew Vehicle, OSIRIS-REx, Deep Impact and Dawn spacecraft, new Asteroids and Buzz Aldrin bird, named after the Apollo 11 moonwalker for ultimate destruction. The new Asus MeMO Pad 8 is an upgrade over the yesterday product of the same name. The successor – New Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a very worthy upgrade over the original with a Full HD display, an Intel Atom Z3580 SoC with 2GB RAM, 16GB Internal storage and a microSD card slot. The new MeMO Pad 8 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
