Earlier this week, a leaked image of a laptop from Xiaomi was revealed. However, a Xiaomi spokesperson has denied the reports and said that the image is fake.
A report from GizmoChina has earlier stated that the Chinese company is working on a 15 inch laptop which has a design similar to Apple’s MacBook Air. But, it turns out that someone has added the Xiaomi logo to a referenced design laptop and hence the image is refurbished. Xiaomi can foray into laptop business but it looks like we will have to wait as this one is surely not the device the company is developing.
Xiaomi has already become the third largest smartphone maker in the world and has a huge demand for devices in countries like India. The Chinese smartphone maker revealed last week that it has sold more than 1 million handsets in India since its entry in July this year.
