Samsung rolls out Milk VR Video Service for Gear VR headsets


Samsung has launched a video service that is aimed at its Gear VR headset. Dubbed as Milk VR, the service will allow Gear VR users to watch 360 degree videos for free.

The Gear VR headset that is powered by the Galaxy Note 4 will let users enjoy the premium Milk VR video service. Milk VR will feature downloadable and streamable content free-of-charge to Gear VR owners. It boasts of an array of virtual reality contents in action, music, sports, lifestyle, and other channels. Samsung will upload latest content on the Milk VR video service every week.

Samsung is hoping that budding artists and filmmakers will use the Milk VR service as an opportunity to bring their work to the virtual reality field. It must be noted that this is a technical preview and it is not known yet when will Samsung launch a public release.
