Uber has launched UberGO, a low-cost Uber service cheaper than the UberX in India. Uber entered India last year with its UberBLACK service and launched its UberX service back in June. The base fare for UberGO is just Rs.20 or Rs. 40 depending on the city. Rate per minute and kilometer are also cheaper in UberGO compared to UberX. It is now available in all the 10 cities where Uber is operational, across India that includes, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune. O2 has followed in the footsteps of its rival networks and today has launched data sharer plans for individuals and families in the UK. The new plans, which start at £6 per month, offer up to 8GB data which can be shared across multiple devices or between family members. The Sharer Plan and Family Sharer Plan uses a customer’s data bundle and allows them to share it either across multiple devices and smart technology or between devices owned by different members of the family. Royal Mail on Wednesday warned that online giant Amazon’s own delivery service and increased competition from rival couriers has hampered progress and impacted revenues. The former state-owned British company said that Amazon’s plans to launch their own delivery service would cut the growth in the British parcel market for it and its rivals from 4-5 percent down to 1-2 percent. Ofcom has begun repurposing some TV spectrum in the UK for use with mobile services in a bid to free up unused spectrum and increase the allowance available to UK consumers. The regulator today said it would make the 700MHz spectrum, currently used for digital terrestrial television, available for mobile broadband use by 2022.
