Google just confirmed that it is postponing its Android 11 Beta Launch event and the first Android 11 beta release that was scheduled for June 3rd. YouTube adds Video Chapters feature in progress bar

YouTube has finally added a very important feature for both creators and viewers called Video Chapters. Creators will now be able to add timestamps to their video’s description, creating clickable chapters in the progress bar, with which viewers can skip and scrub through videos quickly.

Twitter for web gets option to save drafts, schedule tweets

Twitter has announced a new feature in their tweet composer for the web that lets users save drafts of tweets that they want to complete later and also let them schedule send tweets at a time of their choosing. The feature can be accessed with a few clicks and will be appearing for Desktop and mobile web client first.

Samsung Galaxy Book S (2020) with 13.3-inch FHD Touch display, Intel Core processor with Hybrid Technology, 4G LTE announced

Samsung has upgraded Galaxy Book S, the company’s Windows 10 laptop with 4G support and fan-less design. It still has 13.3-inch Full HD touch display, but the Snapdragon 8cx compute platform has been replaced by new Intel Core processor, making it the first device to offer the processor with Intel’s Foveros 3D stacking technology and a hybrid CPU architecture. It intelligently balances multiple high-performing processes during use while conserving battery when not in use, says the company. Google Chrome v84 will automatically blocks abusive permission requests and notifications

Browsing websites online can be tiring sometimes as the user will often have to deal with obtrusive, misleading notifications that phish for private information or promote malware. Recognising this issue, Google is adding a feature in the Chrome v84 update that will automatically enable a quieter notification UI for sites that are flagged with abusive permission requests or abusive notifications.

Xbox Series X will add HDR, up to 120fps support to some older games

Microsoft already revealed the specifications of its upcoming Series X and recently it teased  13 new titles that are optimized for the console with 4K 120 fps support. Now the company has revealed support for backward game compatibility for the console. It said that the series X will double the fps count from 30 fps to 60 fps or 60 fps to 120 fps in select titles.

Infinix just launched the Hot 9 and Hot 9 Pro smartphones in India. These pack a 6.6-inch HD+ punch-hole display with 90.5% screen-to-body ratio, houses an 8-megapixel camera inside the screen and also has an LED flash on the front bezel. The phones are powered by MediaTek Helio P22 12nm SoC with 4GB of RAM, runs Android 10 with XOS 6.0. The Hot 9 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with triple LED flash, while the Hot 9 Pro comes with a 48-megapixel camera with quad LED flash. Both these feature  a 2-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots, 2-megapixel camera for macro shots and a dedicated Low-light Sensor.

OPPO said to have hired MediaTek and UNISOC engineers for its own chip

Rumors about OPPO making their own processors for their own smartphones surfaced recently. Now a new report says that the company has hired Jeffery Ju, MediaTek’s former co-chief operating officer and is about to hire a top executive from MediaTek’s 5G smartphone chip development in a couple of months. OPPO is also planning to hire executives from Qualcomm as well as HUAWEI’s HiSilicon unit, adds the report.
