Samsung had kicked off 2014 in style by showcasing the new range of Galaxy Note and Tab Pro tablet series at the CES 2014 in Las Vegas. Today, at the Samsung Southwest Asia Forum 2014, they have announced a couple of additions to their tablet lineup. The tablets that are announced in India are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Neo and Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2.

Samsung Galaxy Core LTE with 4.5-inch qHD display announced

Samsung launched the Galaxy Core in India last year, but the Galaxy Core LTE comes with LTE connectivity, has a larger high-resolution display and a slightly larger battery. It has a 4.5-inch (960 x 540 Pixels) PLS capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 5-megapixel Auto Focus rear Camera with LED Flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera, similar to the Galaxy Core, but lacks dual SIM support. Airtel acquires Loop Mobile to become Mumbai’s largest carrier


After yesterday’s report, Airtel has just confirmed that they would acquire Loop Mobile, to become the largest mobile network in Mumbai, by subscribers. It already has 4 million customers in the circle and would add the existing 3 million subscribers from Loop Mobile along with the 2G cell sites in the circle. It would offer 3G, 4G, airtel money, VAS and domestic/international roaming facilities for the Loop Mobile customers. It has a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD IPS sensitive touch screen with glove mode, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2-based Color ROM. Huawei calls Apple the “Fruit” and Samsung “Some song” in its bizarre MWC14 teaser

Huawei is gearing up to introduce a range of new products at the Mobile World Congress event this year, but before doing so, the Chinese company has readied a bizarre teaser to explain the kind of products it is launching. First off, why the video is bizarre is because it uses an “Apple” iPhone with a Siri-like voice assistant, to mock “Apple” and Samsung, calling them the “Fruit” and “Some song” respectively. Nevertheless, it gives us a taste of what we can expect from the company, when it reveals its products at this year’s biggest mobile event, the Mobile World Congress. Here’s the video –

Airtel reportedly plans to acquire Loop Mobile for Rs. 700 crore

Bharti Airtel is all set to acquire Loop Mobile, according to a recent report from The Economic Times. Airtel would acquire Loop Mobile in a Rs. 700-crore deal, which is expected to be announced later this week, the report adds. Loop Mobile was previously called BPL Mobile when it started its operations in 1995 BPL Mobile and was renamed as Loop Mobile in 2009. LG has just announced their L Series III smartphone lineup that includes, L40, L70 and L90. These smartphones run on Android 4.4 (KitKat). These have seamless layout, delicate finishing, narrow bezel and refined metallic frame to give premium looks similar to the G Series, says LG.
