OPPO today launched the ColorOS 12, the next major update based on Android 12 for its smartphone in an online event, as it had announced. OPPO said that ColorOS 6 was pushed to 65 million users, 100 million users got ColorOS 7, and last year’s ColorOS 11 was pushed to 115 million users, and this year the company is aiming even higher for the ColorOS 12. It said that there are over 440 million ColorOS users worldwide in 68 countries as of July 2021 which is 19% YoY growth from 2020. BSNL has announced the first ever successful test of their indigenously developed 4G cellular network in Chandigarh. The technology which was designed, developed and made in India was tested with a successful call made between the Department of Telecom secretary and Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

realme introduced the GT Neo2 smartphone in China last month, and it will launch in India later this week. Today, the company confirmed the launch of GT Neo2T in China. This will be jointly designed by Li Ning, a popular Chinese sportswear and sports equipment company. Update: October 11, 2021 – OnePlus has confirmed most of the specifications of the 9RT and also posted the official image of the phone ahead of the announcement on Wednesday. It will come with a Samsung E4 AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 600Hz touch sampling rate. Update: After rumours, Motorola today confirmed the launch of the launch of the moto e40 smartphone in India on October 12th. It was also introduced in Brazil this week, and it will be sold on Flipkart in India, similar to other motorola phones. The company also introduced the moto e30 with similar specifications, but this will be sold in Europe and Latin America.

During their 5th annual Foundry Forum (SFF) 2021, Samsung introduced their roadmap for their 3nm and 2nm process nodes based on the Gate-All-Around (GAA) transistor structure. According to the company, 3nm-based chip designs is scheduled to start production in the first half of 2022, while 2nm-based chips will arrive in 2025.
Black Shark has confirmed the launch of Black Shark 4S and 4S Pro smartphones in China on October 13th. These are the successor of the Black Shark 4 and 4 Pro that were introduced back in March. Apple is reportedly working on a new project that will improve upon the capabilities of CarPlay and provide deeper integration with an iPhone. According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the project is codenamed “IronHeart”, and has the objective of connecting the iPhone to more smart functionalities in a car.
