Earlier this month, telecom operators Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and Reliance Jio revised prepaid tariffs and later announced unlimited calling to all networks across the country. Post that yesterday, Reliance Jio launched the 2020 Happy New Year offer and now on similar lines, BSNL has announced recharge offers for Rs. 1999 annual plan.

The Department of Telecommunications today has approved the state-owned BSNL plan to seek airwaves in the 2100 Mhz band to launch 4G services pan-India. BSNL in 2017 has submitted a detailed project report and in a bid to acquire spectrum worth about Rs 13,885 crore, and sought Rs 6,652 crore as equity infusion from the government. BSNL, State Owned Telecom Operator has partnered with Champion to launch BSNL Champion DM6513, a 6.5-inch phablet. The display resolution is unknown. It is powered by a dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
