BSNL 4G rolls out in Thiruvallur, coming to Chennai soon
BSNL has rolled out its 4G services in the Thiruvallur district and confirmed that Chennai, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu districts will get the service soon. The nationwide rollout of BSNL’s 4G service is long overdue and is expected to bring nationwide coverage by next month.

Cabinet sanctions Rs. 89,047 Crore for BSNL’s 4G, 5G upgrade
The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a revival package for BSNL. The package has a total outlay of Rs. 89,047 crore and includes increasing BSNL’s authorized capital from Rs. 1,50,000 crore to Rs. 2,10,000 crore. BSNL to install 1.12 lakh towers ahead of 4G roll out across India
As promised, BSNL is taking substantial steps to ensure that 4G services are widely available across the country. Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that the 4G telecom network will be rolled out across India soon, with BSNL intending to install nearly 1.12 lakh towers across the country. BSNL tests first ever indigenously developed 4G network in Chandigarh
BSNL has announced the first ever successful test of their indigenously developed 4G cellular network in Chandigarh. The technology which was designed, developed and made in India was tested with a successful call made between the Department of Telecom secretary and Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Government of India approves BSNL-MTNL merger; announces 4G spectrum allocation
Back in September 2018, BSNL got approval from the Indian Government for 4G services, but the rollout has been gradual. In order to lift the air of uncertainty over both BSNL and MTNL, now, the Government of India has approved BSNL-MTNL merger and has announced the allocation of 4G spectrum alongside clearing relief package.

BSNL has launched the Bharat fiber to the home service where it will offer 35GB data per day at as low as Rs.1.1 per GB and speeds of up to 100Mbps to take on Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. BSNL gets Government approval for 4G services, wide roll out expected soon
The Department of Telecommunications today has approved the state-owned BSNL plan to seek airwaves in the 2100 Mhz band to launch 4G services pan-India. BSNL in 2017 has submitted a detailed project report and in a bid to acquire spectrum worth about Rs 13,885 crore, and sought Rs 6,652 crore as equity infusion from the government. BSNL launches 4G LTE services in India starting from Kerala
State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has finally launched 4G services in India starting from Kerala.
