LG Optimus 4X HD now on pre-order in UK, coming in June

LG Optimus 4X HD is now on pre-order from online retailer Clove in UK.  Clove has also announced that the LG Optimus 3D Max would not be available in UK. The LG Optimus 4X HD is the successor of the LG Optimus 2x that was launched last year. It has 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) True HD IPS display and is powered by 1.5GHz Quad-core Tegra 3 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Apple iPad Event set for March 7th in San Francisco

Apple has started sending out invites to the journalists in the US for the iPad event slated for March 7th in San Francisco. Apple is holding its event at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in downtown San Francisco, as opposed to its headquarters in Cupertino. The image in the invites clearly indicates that they are going to announce the next iPad with high-resolution display. Asus Padfone gets detailed, coming in April with Stylus Headset

Asus unveiled the PadFone that can dock into a tablet last year, full specs of the device is now available. The tablet can also be docked into a keyboard and the device now comes with Stylus headset. The PadFone comes with 4.3-inch (960×540 pixels), Super AMOLED capacitive Multi touch display and is powered by 1.5 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 8MP Auto Focus camera with LED Flash, F2.2 Aperture and secondary VGA camera. The PadFone Station has 10.1-inch display. LG demos LTE Voice-Video call switching at MWC

LG has demonstrated world’s first voice-to-video call handover over a LTE network at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012.  This is based on LG’s proprietary technology that enables users to switch back and forth between high quality voice and high resolution video call modes during an ongoing telephone conversation. ZTE announces new Android phones, Tablets and ZTE Orbit Windows Phone

ZTE already announced that they would unveil 8 new devices at MWC. They have announced ZTE PF112 HD, ZTE PF 200, ZTE Kis,ZTE Acqua, ZTE Blade II and ZTE 910 Android phones and ZTE Orbit Windows Phone device at the MWC 2011. They announced the Mimosa X last week with Tegra 2 chipset with Icera 450 21mbps HSPA modem, 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) display, 5-megapixel autofocus camera and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Lava XOLO X900 Intel Medfield powered Android smartphone with 4.03-inch display and NFC announced

Intel has partnered with Lava Mobiles to unveil the XOLO X900 with 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor (Medfield Z2460 platform) with with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology. This phone has 4.03-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) high-resolution LCD touch screen display and runs on  Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has 8MP camera with LED flash, burst mode that can capture 10 pictures in under a second and a 3MP secondary video calling camera. Intel partnering with Lava to launch Medfield based phones in India

Intel plans to launch Medfield based phones in India in close collaboration with Lava mobiles. Under the new partnership , the first new phones will be launched on the Medfield Z2460 platform. The Z2460 is capable of speeds upto 2Ghz and comes with a Intel XMM 6260 HSPA+ radio.

Asus Transformer Pad 300 with Tegra 3 and 10.1-inch IPS display announced

Asus as announced the Asus Transformer Pad 300, affordable Android tablet. It has 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS display and is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It features a 1.2MP front camera for video conferencing and an 8MP rear camera with a large F2.2 aperture. The 5-element lens allows for high quality images along with HD video recording.  It is just 9.9mm thick and weighs 635 grams. ZTE Era with Tegra 3 Quad-core processor, 4.3-inch display and Android 4.0 announced

ZTE has announced the ZTE Era their first phone with the 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-core processor. The Tegra 3 has unique 4-PLUS-1 quad-core architecture with a fifth battery saver core. Panasonic just took the wraps off its brand new smartphone , the Eluga Power. With a massive 5″ screen , you’d imagine it to be a usability nightmare but the ergonomics turned out to be pretty good. The above average looking handset is powered by a Qualcomm S4 chip clocked in at 1.5Ghz.

NVIDIA introduces Tegra 3 for smartphones with 4-plus-1 quadcore processor

nVIDIA were the first to introduce a quadcore processor to the consumers with the ASUS Transformer Prime, and now it has become first to introduce them on smartphones too. At MWC 2012 which is going on right now, there are many devices which are being powered by nVIDIA’s Tegra 3 Quadcore processor including HTC’s One X, LG Optimus 4X HD, ZTE Era, K-Touch Treasure v8 and Fujitsu’s smartphone.
