OPPO R15x with 6.4-inch FHD+ waterdrop notch display, Snapdragon 660, 6GB RAM, in-display fingerprint scanner announced

After rumors, OPPO has officially announced the R15x in China. It has similar specifications as the recently-announced K1, including a  6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with Waterdrop notch display with screen-to-body ratio up to 91% for a more immersive experience, Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 AIE with 6GB RAM, ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo), 16MP rear camera with LED flash, secondary 2MP camera and a 25MP front-facing camera.  It has in-display Fingerprint sensor, 3D glass back and a 3600mAh battery.

Huawei at the launch of Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro confirmed that it is planning on launching 5G foldable phone in 2019. In an interview, Yu commented, “We are working on foldable phones. According to the latest report from The Information, Facebook is planning on buying a “major” cybersecurity company and has already offered deals to “several” companies. Though the names of the companies remain unknown, Facebook reportedly to buy software that could fold into its existing services, such as tools for signaling hacking attempts or securing individual accounts.

Honor Magic 2 with 6.39-inch bezel-less AMOLED display, Kirin 980, 8GB RAM, triple rear cameras gets certified

After teasing the company’s flagship Honor Magic 2 smartphone at the Honor Play global launch in August, the company earlier this month confirmed that the phone will be launched in China on October 31st. It already confirmed  slide-out design, which it calls Magic Slide full screen with high screen-to-body ratio, now the phone has been certified by TENAA in China that reveals the complete specifications of the phone.

Samsung starts production of EUV-based 7nm LPP process

Samsung back in September last year announced that it is working on 7LPP (Low Power Plus) with EUV (extreme ultra violet) lithography technology for smartphones that is targeted for initial production in the second half of 2018. Earlier this Feburary it announced that it is building new EUV (extreme ultraviolet) line in Hwaseong, Korea. Earlier this week the company started wafer production of its revolutionary process node, 7LPP, the 7-nanometer (nm) LPP (Low Power Plus) with extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography technology.
