Alphabet Inc. has announced financial results for the fourth quarter of the year that ended on December 31st, 2018. Google reported total revenue of $39.2 billion with 22% YoY growth and 23% increase in constant currency revenues year over year. Coolpad launched Mega 5, Mega 5M and Mega 5C budget smartphones in India back in December last year starting at Rs. 3999. The company has been teasing the launch of Coolpad Cool 3, another budget smartphone in India since last week. Today the company has posted a teaser of the phone revealing a Dewdrop notch display, dual rear cameras and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, ahead of the launch tomorrow, February 5th.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S9+ in India last year starting at Rs. 64900. Now the smartphone has received a Rs. 7000 price cut and starts from Rs. 57900 for the 64GB storage version. The 128GB storage version now costs Rs. 61900, down from the launch price of Rs. 68,900, and the 256GB storage version is available for Rs. 65900, down from the launch price of Rs. 72,900. Few days back Xiaomi’s product director posted a photo of a smartphone with triple rear cameras on weibo, before removing it. Some users have managed to download it. This will likely be the Mi 9, the company’s upcoming flagship. The image confirms vertical camera arrangement, similar to the predecessor, and this doesn’t have a rear-mounted sensor, so it will likely feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. At GDC 2019, Microsoft is set to debut a new cross-platform development with a goal of bringing Xbox Live support to games on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, in addition to PC and Xbox consoles. The company currently has a few games with Xbox Live support across mobile devices, most notably via Minecraft, which requires an Xbox Live login on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.

Realme launched the Realme U1 in India back in November last year starting at Rs. 11,999. After price cuts during festive period, the phone has received a permanent price cut in the country. Panasonic has announced the Lumix S1 and S1R full-frame mirrorless cameras with a 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor. These come with HDR still photo mode, that can be played back on HLG-compliant televisions. The cameras can shoot video at 4K, 60fps with dual image stabilization, tiltable LCD display, contrast AD and depth-from-defocus tech.
