Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has started revealing more details about the upcoming Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone. The company today shared an image of a gamepad and said that the phone will have support for game accessories. It also said that it has all the qualities of a gaming phone including smooth gaming in high frame rates, liquid cooling, network optimization, smooth touchscreen experience and long battery life.
Update: August 23, 2019 – Redmi GM Lu Weibing today posted a comparison chart that shows AnTuTu Benchmark 8 comparison between the Helio G90T, Kirin 810 and Snapdragon 710. This shows Helio G90T powered Redmi Note 8 has scored 283,333 points and is placed well above the Kirin 710, but it couldn’t beat the Kirin 810, which is slightly better. Snapdragon 730G should offer almost similar AnTuTu 8 scores as the Kirin 810.

These have the same 6.41-inch Full HD+ water drop notch Super AMOLED screen with 91.7% screen-to-body ratio and run Android Pie with Funtouch OS , but these powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus with liquid cooling along with superconducting carbon fiber and temperature equalizing plate for improved heat dissipation, up to 12GB of RAM, have a 48-megapixel primary rear camera with Sony IMX582 sensor, secondary 13-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel sensor for portrait shots. There is also a 12-megapixel camera on the front.

Samsung just announced Galaxy A50s and A30s, the company’s latest mid-range smartphones, few months after Galaxy A50 and A30 that were introduced earlier this year. The Galaxy A50 has the 6.4-inch Full HD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display, is powered by the Exynos 7 Series 9610 10nm processor with up to 6GB of RAM and runs Android Pie, but this has upgraded 48-megapixel primary rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera, while the 8-megapixel 123° ultra-wide and 5-megapixel depth sensor on the back are the same. The Super Steady feature on Ultra Wide camera lets you shoot smooth, flawless videos, even for fast-paced action moments, says the company.

Intel has announced new eight new 10th Gen Intel Core mobile PC processors (code-named ‘Comet Lake’) in the U-series and Y-series for thin-and-light laptop and 2-in-1s for long battery life. These promise double digit performance gains compared with the previous generation and also includes Intel’s first 6-core processor in the U-series, faster CPU frequencies, faster memory interfaces and Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) and broader scaling of Thunderbolt 3.
