Redmi Note 8 Pro gets a new Twilight Orange color variant

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched the Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone last year in Gamma Green, Halo White and Shadow Black colors, and the Electric Blue version of the phone went on sale later. Today it has introduced new Twilight Orange color variant of the phone in China. It has also introduced Red color version of the Redmi 8 in China, which is already available in India. Redmi Note 8 Pro Electric Blue color variant launched in India

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just launched the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi Note series in India, as it had promised. The phone packs a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with HDR support, 2.05mm narrow top frame, 1.8mm narrow left and right borders and 4.2mm bottom border offering 91.4% screen-to-body ratio and has TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification. It the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the latest MediaTek Helio G90T SoC and is the first phone in the price range to feature liquid cooling that will reduce the temperature of the phone by 4 to 6 degrees.

Redmi Note 8 Pro India launch details

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand today introduced the Redmi Note 8 series smartphones. In an interview Redmi General Manager and VP, Lu Weibing has confirmed that the company will launch the Redmi Note 8 smartphone in India in 2 to 3 months. He also confirmed that the company has already started working on BIS certification in the country. To remind you, the Redmi Note 7 that was introduced back in January in China was launched in India in February, a month after the launch and the Redmi Note 7 Pro was launched in India first.

Update: August 23, 2019 – Redmi GM Lu Weibing today posted a comparison chart that shows AnTuTu Benchmark 8 comparison between the Helio G90T, Kirin 810 and Snapdragon 710. This shows Helio G90T powered Redmi Note 8 has scored 283,333 points and is placed well above the Kirin 710, but it couldn’t beat the Kirin 810, which is slightly better. Snapdragon 730G should offer almost similar AnTuTu 8 scores as the Kirin 810.

Redmi Note 8 Pro 64MP Quad Camera phone and Redmi Note 8 to be announced on August 29

After teasers Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just confirmed that it will introduce the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones at an event in China along with the Redmi TV on August 29th. The image confirms 64-megapixel camera with quad camera setup for the Redmi Note 8 Pro. There is a fingerprint sensor below the camera module. The phones will have glass back.

Redmi Note 7 Series sales cross 20 million units globally

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand introduced the first Redmi Note 7 smartphone in China back in January, and the Redmi Note 7 Pro made its global debut in India in February. Today the company has announced that the combined sales of Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro have hit 20 million units globally in about seven months of launch.
