OnePlus launched the ‘OnePlus 3’ back in 2016 and 6 months later launched the ‘T’ version of the smartphone, OnePlus 3T. The company has been pushing timely updates to both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T and now, according to the maintenance schedule released by OnePlus, both smartphones have reached the final update cycle.

Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2019 scheduled from Dec 3 to 5 — Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 735 with 5G and more expected

Qualcomm just announced its 3-day annual Snapdragon Technology Summit in Hawaii on December 3, 4 and 5. The company has confirmed that it will have keynotes that will cover 5G Global Expansion, Flagship Snapdragon Mobile Platforms, XR and Always On, Always Connected PC. We can expect the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC, successor of the Snapdragon 855 that was introduced in December last year. New Snapdragon 735 and other new mid-range SoCs with 5G are also expected. ColorOS 7 with lighter UI, Soloop video editor, Focus mode and more to roll out from this month – List of OPPO and realme devices getting it

OPPO today announced ColorOS 7, the next major ColorOS update at an event in China, as it had promised. The latest version comes with refreshed icons in UI, expansion of live wallpapers, polar night mode, new video editing assistant, and more. OPPO said that ColorOS has more than 300 million users worldwide, covering more than 40 countries and regions, and translated into more than 80 languages.

Realme 5s with 6.5-inch display, 48MP quad rear cameras, 5000mAh battery launched in India starting at Rs. 9999

Realme has launched the Realme 5s, an enhanced version of the realme 5 in India, as it had promised. It the same 6.5-inch HD+ Mini-drop notch display with 78% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm SoC with 4GB RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0,  plastic back with crystal design that offers a combination of glossy surface and nano-scale texture and packs a 5000mAh battery, but this comes with a 48-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, instead of 12-megapixel camera in the realme 5, while retaining the 8-megapixel 119° ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for 4cm macro shots. Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 32-inch and 43-inch (2018) Android TV Pie update finally starts rolling out

Xiaomi launched Mi TV 4A 32-inch HD ready and 43-inch Full HD models last year running Patchwall based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). These TVs didn’t get any updates, even months after the company released new Android TV models running Android Oreo-based Patchwall. The company back in July started early access program to offer Android 9.0 (Pie) Android TV update directly to these users, skipping Android Oreo, now it has started rolling out the Android TV Pie update for these TVs. Airtel and Vodafone Idea to increase tariffs from December 1 [Update: Reliance Jio will also increase tariffs]

Update: Reliance Jio has now confirmed that it will also be increasing tariffs in “next few weeks”. “As per media reports, we understand that TRAI is likely to initiate a consultation process for revision of telecom tariffs. Like other operators, we will also work with the Government and comply with the regulatory regime to strengthen the industry to benefit Indian consumers and take measures including an appropriate increase in tariffs in next few weeks in a manner that does not adversely impact data consumption or growth in digital adoption and sustains investments.”, said Jio in a statement.
