HONOR MagicBook and HONOR 9X Pro global launch event scheduled for February 24 in Spain

HONOR today announced global launch of HONOR MagicBook series and HONOR 9X Pro smartphone at a separate event in Barcelona, Spain on February 24th after GSMA has cancelled MWC next week. HONOR said that this is the first time it is globally launching its first laptop series, HONOR MagicBook. The launch will further strengthen the brand’s 1+8+N strategy, an ecosystem that integrates one smartphone, eight categories of additional connected products and a wide range of third-party linked devices. TCL concept phone with slide-out screen press images surface

With more and more phones coming with foldable displays, both along the horizontal and vertical axis, TCL has supposedly gone another route and built a concept phone that incorporates a slide-out display instead. Samsung Galaxy Buds+ now available for pre-order in India for Rs. 11990

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Buds+ with a range of improvements and features at its Unpacked 2020 event last week. After opening pre-orders for the Galaxy S20 series in India, Samsung has started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Buds+ in the country on Samsung.com at Rs. 11,990 (MRP Rs. 13,990), which will start shipping from March 6th. The earbuds come in Blue, Black and White colors. Samsung is offering the earbuds for as low as Rs. 1990 for those who pre-order the Galaxy S20 phones. Apple said to have scheduled an event for March 31st, iPhone SE 2 (iPhone 9) expected

Apple is said to hold a spring time press event at the end of March, likely to launch the upcoming rumoured “iPhone 9” or “iPhone SE 2”. Apple previously held a press event during spring 2019 to unveil new iPad models along with new versions of their Pages, Keynote and Numbers iOS apps.

LG has announced new K series smartphones that includes K61, K51S and K41S. The K61 features a 6.5 FHD+ FullVision Display and the K51S and K41S feature an 6.5-inch 20:9 HD+ FullVision Display. These feature quad-camera array consisting of a high-resolution main camera, wide angle lens, depth sensor and a macro lens, a first in the K series. The 48MP main lens in the top-of-the line K61 is the highest resolution camera ever offered in an LG smartphone while the 32MP camera in the K51S also surpasses the pixel count of any previous LG phone, said LG. Airtel, Vodafone struggle to pay AGR dues to DoT after SC order

On Friday, the Supreme Court (SC) heavily criticised the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for not collecting AGR dues from telecom operators such as Airtel and Vodafone after failing to meet its January 24th deadline. Airtel will reportedly pay Rs. 10000 crores for now while Vodafone has informed the SC that they will only be able to Rs. 2500 crores now.
