Vodafone India, Idea announce new leadership team ahead of merger

In March last year Vodafone India and Idea Cellular announced merger of both the companies, which was expected to close last year. Earlier this week the companies said that the management team of the combined business would be confirmed prior to closing, which is now expected to complete in the first half of the current calendar year. Today they have announced the leadership team of the combined business, which will come into effect after the merger has been completed. Vodafone launches VoLTE services in UP West

After Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa and Rajasthan and Haryana, Vodafone has launched its VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) services in Uttar Pradesh (UP) west in India. It is currently available in Agra, Aligarh, Bareilly, Bijnor, Budaun, Bulandshahar, Dehradun, Etawah, Firozabad, Roorkee, Hardwar, Haldwani, Mainpuri, Mathura, Meerut, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Rudrapur, Rampur and Saharanpur, and will gradually roll out across other cities in the state. Motorola expands retail footprint in South India with 100 Moto Hub stores in Karnataka

Motorola has been expanding its retail footprint across India rapidly. Earlier this year it opened 50 new Moto Hubs in New Delhi, and recently in opened 25 stores in Kolkata and 50 stores in Mumbai. Today the company has announced the opening of 100 new Moto Hubs in Karnataka that includes 50 in Bengaluru, with a focus of strengthening retail store in the southern region. IRCTC partners with Ola to let users book cab directly from its platform

IRCTC and Ola have signed an LOI (Letter of Intent) that will enable commuters to book an Ola on IRCTC platforms. IRCTC has now integrated the Ola booking API onto its platforms; both website and IRCTC mobile app. The service has already started which makes Ola the first mobility platform in the country to partner with the IRCTC to provide first and last-mile connectivity to commuters. Xiaomi Mi Store app now available on iOS in India

Xiaomi introduced the Mi Store for Android in beta back in 2015, later it was launched through the Google Play Store for all the Android users. Now the company has introduced the Mi Store for iOS in India. This app lets you search, browse and purchase all Mi products, including phones, tablets and accessories. It has multiple payment options and lets you track order delivery status.

New JioFi 4G Wireless Hotspot goes on sale for Rs. 999

Reliance Jio introduced the JioFi 3 back in 2016, which we unboxed in early 2017. Last year the company seems to have silently introduced JioFi 4 (JMR1140) and JioFi 5 (JMR814). Now the company has started selling JioFi JMR815, which should be JioFi 6. This measures 74 x 74 x 20mm and weighs just 95g with a 3000mAh, which is bigger than the previous JioFi models. Xiaomi today launched two new earphones – Mi Earphones, Mi Earphones Basic in India. The company already has several in-ear earphones in India, and it recently launched the Mi Noise Cancelling USB Type-C Earphones in the country. The Mi In-Ear Headphones Basic also got a permanent Rs. 100 price cut recently and is available for Rs. 499.
