Vodafone India partners with WhatsApp to promote the use of app in Indian languages

Vodafone India today announced that it has partnered with WhatsApp to promote and educate users to use the app in local India language. Vodafone said that it is one of the first operators to start such an initiative and aims to empower its consumers to connect with each other in a language of their preference. WhatsApp is available in more than 50 languages, including 10 Indian languages and has over 200 million monthly active users in India. ASUS has announced price cuts for their  Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Max series of Zenfone smartphones in India. Even though the company did not mention the reason for the price cut, this could be due to GST. According to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the phone is available from stores at an MRP of Rs. 8999. Both the phones were announced a few weeks back, but India gets the MediaTek version instead of Snapdragon SoC in some countries. Apple today officially slashed the price of all its products iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and iMac, including its latest iPad Pro and Macs that were introduced last month. Even with 10% of basic customs duty (BCD) imposed on mobile phones that are imported, after GST price of iPhone is still cheaper than before. iPhone has received up Rs. 6,600 price cut, iPad has received price cut by up to Rs. 3,900 and Macbook has received up to Rs. 11,800 price. With this, Xiaomi will provide an enhanced after sales service experience. Earlier this year it partnered with B2X, leading provider of customer care for smartphones for after sales service in India. At that time it had only 200 service centers across the country. Xiaomi’s service centers are now in 350 cities in 3 years since the company entered India.
