Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro gets another price cut in India as it hits 1 crore unit sales, now starts at Rs. 12999

After announcing a price cut for Mi A2 yesterday, Xiaomi today announced a price cut for its popular Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India as the company has sold 1 crore or 10 million units. It was launched  back in February last year and got a Rs. 1000 price cut in November. The smartphone is now available for Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB+64GB version, after a Rs. 1000 price cut and the 6GB+64GB version is available for Rs. 13,999, after a Rs. 2000 price cut on FlipkartAmazon.in, Mi.com and offline stores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro MIUI 10 Stable OTA update finally starts rolling out in India [Download link]

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone earlier this year running MIUI 9.2 based on Android 7.1 (Nougat), later it got the stable MIUI 9.5 in June based on Android Oreo as well as new features such as gesture support, Dual 4G VoLTE and more. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro finally goes on open sale in India

Back in June Xiaomi announced that the combined sales of Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro have crossed 5 million sales in India, since it was launched back in February this year, and also claimed that it is the fastest selling phone series in India to cross the 5 million mark in the given time across all platforms. Today the company has started selling the Redmi Note 5 Pro through open sale, after conducting weekly sales for about 6 months. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro (4GB + 64GB) and Mi TV 4 55-inch 4K TV get a price hike by Rs. 1000 and Rs. 5000

After increasing the price of its Mi Power Bank 2i models earlier this month by Rs.100, Xiaomi today announced that it will increase the price of its Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB RAM with 64GB storage model by Rs. 1000, which will now cost Rs. 14,999 and the Mi TV 4 55-inch 4K HDR TV is getting Rs. 5,000 price hike and will cost Rs. 44,999. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Android 8.1 Oreo based MIUI Global Stable ROM with Treble support coming soon

Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 5 Pro in India back in February, despite launching in Feb 2018 the device runs on MIUI 9.2 on top of Android Nougat 7.1.1. The company spokesperson already confirmed the Oreo update in a tweet but didn’t share any timeline for the update roll-out. However, last month MIUI Beta ROM was leaked and surprisingly it was based on Android Oreo 8.1 along with Treble support. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India back in February, which went on sale exclusively on Flipkart as well as Mi.com from February 22nd. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro launched in China with f/1.9 aperture camera, Dual 4G VoLTE, Android Oreo, Quick Charge 3.0

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India last month. The company today launched the phone in China today as Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera. Even though the phone has the same 5.99-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen, Snapdragon 636 SoC with up to 6GB RAM, Hybrid Dual SIM slot, 4000mAh battery and comes with 12-megapixel rear camera, but this has a f/1.9 aperture camera compared to f/2.2 in the Indian version, however this has 1.4μm pixel size compared to 1.25μm in the Indian version. It also has Dual PD dual-core speed focus for fast and accurate focus. The secondary rear camera is the same 5-megapixel unit .

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Camera Samples

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India last month along with the Redmi Note 5. We recently brought you the  first impressions of the smartphone, here we have the camera samples from the phone. The Redmi Note 5 Pro has a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX486 sensor, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and large 1.25μm pixel size. It has a secondary 5-megapixel camera with Samsung sensor, 1.12μm pixel size and f/2.0 aperture camera to capture the depth information. It also comes with LED flash. It has a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and 1080p video recording. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro MIUI 9.2.4 update brings Face Unlock

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India last week, which went on sale today for the first time on Flipkart as well as Mi.com and was sold out within minutes. At the launch Xiaomi promised to bring Face unlock that will be available via OTA update by the end of March, but today as a surprise the company rolled out the Face unlock feature for the phone via an OTA update. Over 3 lakh Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro units sold out in under 3 minutes in first sale, next sale on Feb 28

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones in India last week, which went on sale exclusively on Flipkart as well as Mi.com today at 12 noon. Manu Jain, Group Vice President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India just said that the company sold over 3 lakh units of the smartphones under 3 minutes, selling 1 lakh units per minute. In comparison, last year the company sold 2.5 lakh Redmi Note 4 smartphones in 10 minutes in its first sale. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro with 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 636, up to 6GB RAM launched in India starting at Rs. 13999

Along with the Redmi Note 5, Xiaomi also launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone, as rumored. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro specifications, image surface ahead of February 14 India launch

We already know that Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 5 smartphone with 18:9 display and Mi TV 4 in India on February 14th. Rumors about the Redmi Note 5 Pro launching alongside surfaced recently. Now the image of the Redmi Note 5 Pro has surfaced along with the rumored specifications of the phone. This reveals a similar 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 screen as the Redmi 5 Plus that will be launched as Redmi Note 5 based on the new leak, which also coincides with our earlier report.
