Vodafone has launched its 4G services in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand, just in time for annual Chardham Yatra. Vodafone’s 4G site has been located around the temple premises which is located at an altitude of 11,755 feet. This lets Vodafone customers visiting Kedarnath temple to stay connected with voice and data with their loved ones and family even while visiting the remote location. Vodafone launched 4G services in Gujarat back in September 2016. Today it has announced that it has expanded the 4G services across 2500+ towns covering 33 districts of Gujarat. It also said that it has rolled out 5300+ sites at 14 sites per day to expand and strengthen its network, catering to the growing demand for data and voice of its over 20+ million customers across the circle, since January 2017. After Tamil Nadu, Vodafone has started offering 4G-ready SIM cards to its existing customers in Punjab (including Chennai) through Vodafone stores, Vodafone Mini Stores and close to 6,000 multi brand outlets, ahead of 4G roll out in the circle. Initially the 4G services will be launched in select towns of Punjab, said the company. It will be based on 1800 MHz band, similar to most other circles.
