Pantel Technologies has launched T-Pad WS708C, their first Android Tablet with Dual SIM support. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with voice calling support and 3G connectivity through an external dongle. The HCL ME Y3 tablet that was launched in India earlier this year also has dual SIM support. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (Note 510) Photo Gallery

Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 8.0 as the Note 510 for the Indian markets at the Samsung Forum 2013 in Hyderabad yesterday. We got some hands-on time with the 8-inch tablet at the event. It has a 8.0-inch (1280 × 800 pixels) TFT Super Clear LCD display at 189 ppi pixel density, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor. Nokia Lumia 620 gets a pre order price of Rs. 15,199 on Flipkart

The Nokia Lumia 620 has been a long time coming. It was initially slated to be launched on the first week of February but it is already the first week of March, so it is about time it arrived on the market, and signs indicate that it is coming real soon indeed. Flipkart has just put up the phone for pre order at a price of Rs. 15,199, with availability promised within a week.

Google has finally brought books to the Google Play Store in India. This would let the users browser, purchase and read from thousands of Indian eBook titles and millions of international eBooks from several categories on the Google Play Store. You can also read the purchased books on Android, iPhone, iPad and on Desktop. These books are competitively priced, and most of the books are priced similar to the Flipkart Flye eBooks and the Amazon Kindle eBooks Store. LG has officially launched the Optimus G (E975) in India. The Optimus G went on sale in India last week. It comes with a 4.7-inch (1280 x 768 pixels) True HD IPS + Display with 15:9 aspect ratio, 550 nits brightness and Gorilla Glass 2 protection, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with LG Optimus 3.0 UI on top. Asus has launched the MeMo Pad (ME172V) in India. It was announced last month, and comes with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, powered by a 1GHz WonderMedia PRIZM WM8950 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 1MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor, 720p HD video capture at 30 fps and ƒ/2.0 aperture. It has non-slip diamond-patterned finish at the back. Asus also offers 5GB free ASUS WebStorage. Samsung India has cut the price of both their 7-inch Galaxy Tab 2 Android tablets. The Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S Duos smartphones got a price cut earlier this month. Airtel to launch Voice services for 4G LTE customers in Pune

Airtel has announced that they would launch voice services for 4G TD-LTE customers in Pune soon, through its existing GSM network. Airtel is the only operator in India to combine voice with TD-LTE services through GSM network. Airtel launched their 4G LTE services in Pune last October, followed by Kolkata and Bengaluru. Nokia Siemens Networks would deploy its Circuit Switched FallBack (CSFB) voice solution in the operator’s live TD-LTE network in Pune. Sony bags Katrina Kaif as brand ambassador for Xperia Smartphones

Sony India has announced Katrina Kaif as its Brand Ambassador for Xperia range of Smartphones. Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor was announced as Sony’s brand ambassador, when Sony Ericsson XPERIA and VIVAZ phones were first launched in India back in 2010. Sony aims to boost the brand’s visibility in India with this new signup.
