Mysterious HTC smartphone with a 4-inch display shows up in China

Over Weibo, a user has shared images of a mysterious HTC smartphone along with the specifications. Th unnamed HTC’s upcoming smartphone is expected to feature a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display , powered by a dual-core processor, 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. As you can see from the leaked images, it is likely to come with the Android 4.1 or 4.2 with latest Sense 5 UI. Nokia Lumia 925 Blind Test – Flagship Shoot Out

The Nokia Lumia 925 launched just six days back in India with a price tag of Rs. 33,499. It was announced back in May, as a refreshed alternative to people who didn’t like the bulk and design of the good old Nokia Lumia 920. The camera was supposedly improved, along with the build and design, with a six element lens and all new algorithms, while retaining all the PureView OIS goodness that the 920 was known for. While the Lumia 920 was good, it had problems with defocused softer photos and overall unreliable performance, making it a tougher buy when compared to other flagships. But, does the Lumia 925 fix that? Can it produce better pictures than competing flagship devices? Exactly what we are going to see today.

HTC Zara with 4.5-inch qHD display, Android 4.3 rumored for Q4 2013 launch

HTC has launched several mid-range devices in the Desire series including the Desire 600 dual SIM that we reviewed recently. HTC would launch another mid-rage device called Zara with a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8930 processor with Adreno 305 GPU and Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Sense 5.5 later this year, according to @evleaks. HTC begins Android 4.2.2 update roll out for One X, brings along Sense 5

Bringing its erstwhile flagship up to date, HTC has begun the rolling out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the One X. The update brings along the latest version of Sense UI ie Sense 5 as seen on devices like the One and Desire 600.

HTC One 4.2.2 Jellybean Update: What’s new?

The HTC One was announced way back in February and it finally launched in India during May. The HTC One was launched on Android 4.1.2 and it got the Android 4.2.2 update back in July. The update is available both as OTA(Over-the-air) and via PC Companion. The size of the update is 436MB and it comes with a whole bunch of features.

Beats Electronics likely to buy out HTC’s stake

Beats Electronics, popular for Beats audio by Dr. Dre is looking to buy out its Asian partner HTC and bring in a new investor, according to a recent report from the Wall Street Journal. Beats partnered with HTC back in August 2011, in which HTC invested $300 million for a 50.1% majority stake in Beats Electronics. HTC unveils Robert Downey Jr. in its new “Change” ad campaign with a new teaser

HTC was rumored to be in talks with Robert Downey Jr. for a while now and today HTC have officially signed up Robert Downey Jr. for a two year deal. According to the press release, this is HTC’s most ambitious campaign till date and the “Change” brand is expected to bring a “change” in HTC’s Digital, PR, Social and other activities. The beginning of the Change platform will be marked by ads that star Robert Downey Jr and will be hitting the media on August 15th.

HTC One Max press image leaks online

HTC has been having a tough time keeping its big “One Max” under the wraps. The HTC One Max is expected to be HTC’s entry into the phablet market and will directly take on Samsung Galaxy Note series which is also due a refresh in the coming month. So far, we have had some photos about the alleged HTC One Max going about the internet and HTC have officially teased the launch of HTC One Max with a teaser video, now we have a supposed press image courtesy of popular leakster @evleaks.

HTC One Dual SIM now available in India for Rs. 46495


HTC One Dual SIM surfaced on the HTC India website earlier this month. We reported that the smartphone would release in India soon. Now online retailer Flipkart has started selling the smartphone in India. It has similar features as the HTC One single-SIM variant including a 4.7 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display,  1.7 GHz quad-core processor,  Android Jelly Bean with Sense 5, UltraPixel camera with LED Flash and a 2.1MP HD front-facing camera. HTC One Dual SIM with 3G GSM+CDMA coming to India for Rs. 48,490

The HTC One has proven to be quite a popular model for the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer and has got rave reviews across the internet including from us. The company is now all set to launch the coveted dual SIM model that also incorporates a micro SD card slot that has been missing from the single SIM international variant.

The handset supports both CDMA and GSMA networks on the first SIM card slot while the second will top off at EDGE speeds on GSM networks. The phone should have an MRP of Rs 49,500 though the MOP is expected to be around Rs. 48,490. Other specifications remain the same with the only addition being the micro SD card slot hidden under the removable back shell. HTC Desire 500 with 4.3-inch display, quad-core processor announced for UK

HTC announced the Desire 500 in Taiwan last month, now the company has unveiled the smartphone in UK. It has a 4.3-inch  (480 × 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with Sense 5. It has an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and BSI sensor and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor. The phone has BlinkFeed and  the Video Highlight software seen first on the HTC One and also comes with Beats Audio support. HTC has also announced that it would come with Dual SIM and NFC support based on the region.
