HTC One, the company’s current flagship, was launched more than a year ago and is still the company’s flagship. HTC One Max Red comes to Taiwan

Last week, HTC launched a black variant of their phablet, HTC One Max in Hong Kong and now they are launching a Red variant in their homeland, Taiwan. HTC One Max was launched recently in India and it is one of the costliest Android smartphones around in the market. HTC One Max takes over the same design language from the company’s flagship – HTC One and has almost exactly similar specifications and comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back.

HTC announced the One Max with a  5.9 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display and a finger print sensor. We already brought you the unboxing of the device, here we have the benchmarks of the device. The phone is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz with Adreno 320 GPU similar to the HTC One. It runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with the new HTC Sense 5.5 UI. HTC One Max to finally launch on October 16th, comes with a fingerprint scanner

The HTC One Max might be one of the most leaked devices ever, with virtually everything known before its launch. It was rumoured to have launched at IFA, but the company seems to have finally fixed on a date for the official reveal. According to a Taiwanese invite, the One Max is all set to launch on October 18th, in Taiwan, and the existence of a finger print scanner has been subtly hinted on the invite. The invite reads –

HTC One Max images surface again, leaked poster details the specs

HTC One Maxx has been rumored for few months now. Even though the leaked press images did not reveal a fingerprint sensor, images of the phone showing off the finger print sensor on the back surfaced last month. Now a weibo user posted images of the phone with the model number HTC 8088 showing off the fingerprint sensor and the contacts for wireless charging on the back. HTC has been having a tough time keeping its big “One Max” under the wraps. The HTC One Max is expected to be HTC’s entry into the phablet market and will directly take on Samsung Galaxy Note series which is also due a refresh in the coming month. Even though this doesn’t feature any device, their Instagram video clearly shows a large device, as you can see in the image above. Huge phones are becoming common these days and Huawei were the first to go big with their Ascend Mate having a 6.1inch at the start of the year, Samsung followed it up with their Mega series(5.8inch and 6.3inch) and Sony recently joined the club with the biggest of them all – Sony Xperia Z Ultra with a 6.44inch display.
