Asus Zenfone Live L1 Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone with 5.45-inch HD+ display, Face unlock official

Asus has silently introduced Zenfone Live L1 (ZA550KL), the company’s first Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone in Indonesia. It packs a 5.45-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 425 with 1GB or 2GB RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) Go Edition and the 2GB RAM version runs Android 8.0 (Oreo) with ZenUI 5.0. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash 5-megapixel front camera and also has face unlock. Honor 8 Pro gets Face Unlock, AR Lens, Idea VoLTE and more via OTA update in India

Honor roll out Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Honor 8 Pro in India back in February that brought several new features including option to make VoLTE calls on Vodafone and Jio. Today the company has pushed a new update that adds Face unlock, AR Lens for the camera as well as VoLTE support for Idea Cellular, which started rolling out VoLTE services for consumers earlier this week. Honor 7X Android Oreo update with EMUI 8.0 to roll out from April 30

Huawei’s Honor brand confirmed Android Oreo update to several devices including the Honor 7X recently. It even started beta testing the Oreo update for the phone last month, before the stable roll out. LG G6 Android Oreo update to roll out starting next week, coming to V20 and LG G5 soon

Earlier this month LG opened first-of-its kind Software Upgrade Center in South Korea, aimed at providing customers worldwide with faster, timelier, smartphone operating system and software updates. LG V30 update brings AI cam, ThinQ branding

Verizon has pushed a new update to LG V30 which brings A.I cam and ThinQ branding. The update brings the software version VS99620b along with features. After updating, the start screen of the device will now show LG V30ThinQ branding instead of LG V30. This is to reflect the new artificial intelligence integration. Tecno Camon i Sky with 5.45-inch FullView display, Android 8.1, fingerprint sensor launched in India for Rs. 7499

After  Camon i and  Camon i Air, China-based Transsion Holdings’ TECNO Mobile today launched Camon i Sky, the company’s latest budget smartphone in India. It has a 5.65-inch HD+ 18:9 FullView display, is powered by quad-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with the company’s own HiOS on top along with a 13-megapixel  rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Android 8.1 Oreo based MIUI Global Stable ROM with Treble support coming soon

Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 5 Pro in India back in February, despite launching in Feb 2018 the device runs on MIUI 9.2 on top of Android Nougat 7.1.1. The company spokesperson already confirmed the Oreo update in a tweet but didn’t share any timeline for the update roll-out. However, last month MIUI Beta ROM was leaked and surprisingly it was based on Android Oreo 8.1 along with Treble support. Google is said to be testing gesture-based navigation in Android P much like the iPhone X. The screenshots of the navigation bar have surfaced which gives a glimpse of a short little bar in place of the home button, a back arrow that’s now hollowed-out, and no app-switcher at all. We have already seen brands experimenting with gestures including OnePlus, Xiaomi that quite resemble the iPhone X style. Get Android 8.1 Oreo on Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with Pixel Experience ROM

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was amongst best selling devices launched in 2016, Xiaomi launched it running on Android Lollipop despite launching in March 2016 and later in December 2016 rolled out Android Marshmallow update. Redmi Note 3 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Mobile Platform and devices like Sony Xperia X with the same processor received Android Oreo, even Xiaomi’s own Mi Max (SD650 variant) runs on Android Nougat but Redmi Note 3 didn’t get same treatment as Mi Max despite having similar hardware but users can still enjoy the latest android on their Redmi Note 3, thanks to the awesome custom ROM developer community.
