LG G8X ThinQ Review: Is the phone with Dual Screen worth it?

After announcing the G8X ThinQ back in September 2019 at the IFA, the South Korean company has launched the flagship device in the Indian market in Aurora Black color at Rs. 49,999 bundled with LG Dual Screen accessory.

While we loved the LG V40 ThinQ, our expectation were sky-high for this device considering its dual display feature. In fact, the G8X has accomplished what LG has been trying to do for years — dual displays, for example V10 and V20.  Does this device from LG met our expectations? LG announces Android 10 update timeline for 9 smartphones

In a world where smartphone manufacturers like OnePlus, Nokia, etc. have already pushed out Android 10 software updates to their devices, we still have companies like LG that are extremely slow with theirs. LG have only now announced their roadmap for Android 10 updates in 9 smartphones, with some phones only getting it in Q4 of 2020.

Google I/O 2020 scheduled from May 12-14, Android 11 and more expected

Google, following the trend it follows every year, has set the I/O conference at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California this year too. The event will kick start on May 12th and go through until the 11th. At the conference, Google is expected to introduce Android 11 and updates to its products. Get Android 10 on POCO F1 with Havoc OS

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the POCO F1 smartphone in India back in August 2018 running MIUI 9.6 Global Stable on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and later updated it to Android 9.0 in December 2018. Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 10 update will roll out mid-February, confirms company

Xiaomi introduced the Android One series of smartphones in collaboration with Google back in September 2017, the Android One program guarantees a couple of Android version updates with regular security patch updates. Xiaomi Mi A2 Android 10 update starts rolling out

Xiaomi announced the Mi A2 under the Android One program back in July 2018. The smartphone was launched running Android 8.1 (Oreo), and the company updated it to Android 9.0 (Pie) in December 2018. Android One devices from other brands such as HMD and Motorola have already received Android 10 update, as per the Android One policy, the Mi A2 is eligible to receive Android 10 update. Get Android 10 on Redmi Note 5 Pro with Pixel Experience

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was amongst best-selling devices last year, Xiaomi launched it running on Android Nougat, and was updated to Android 8.1 (Oreo) in June 2018. The company rolled out Android 9.0 (Pie) update to the smartphone back in May this year, the device is almost 18 months old and has already received two Android updates. It is almost certain that Xiaomi will not update the Android version on the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but in case you own a Redmi Note 5 Pro and wish to keep your device updated with the latest Android version, you may try a custom ROM. We had earlier tried Android 10 based Arrow OS on our Redmi Note 5 Pro and now, we are back with Android 10 based Pixel Experience custom ROM review.
