OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T Android 10 stable update starts rolling out

OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS version 10.0.0 based on Android 10 for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T smartphones. With this update, both the devices will get enhancements that are part of Android 10 features. Notably, this Android 10 will be the last update for both OnePlus 5 and 5T apart from incremental security and service updates for a stipulated period. OnePlus 5 gets Face Unlock with latest open beta update

Last week OnePlus rolled out the OxygenOS 5.0 Android 8.0 Oreo stable update for the OnePlus 5 smartphone, and as promised the company has rolled out Face Unlock feature with the latest Open Beta 3 update for the smartphone, soon after the second beta that rolled out a couple of weeks back. OnePlus released its first OxygenOS Open Beta 1 based on Android 8.0 (Oreo) at the end of last month. Update – July 20: OnePlus has released a statement saying that it will be rolling out the software update soon to fix the issue.

We have been in touch with the customer and have tested a software update that has resolved the issue. We will be rolling out the software update shortly.

A new OnePlus 5 bug is not allowing some users to call emergency services in the U.S. and UK, according to post on Reddit. Few OnePlus 5 users are complaining that their phones are rebooting immediately after dialing ‘911’ (US) or ‘999’ (UK).

OnePlus 5 is highest revenue-grossing smartphone in the launch week on Amazon India

OnePlus launched its flagship OnePlus 5 smartphone in India on June 22nd and the phone went on early sales exclusively on Amazon.in starting at Rs. 32,999 on the same day and it went on open sale from June 27th. Today the company has announced that the smartphone has become the highest revenue-grossing smartphone in the launch week on Amazon.in. But it did not reveal the number of smartphones sold during the launch week or revenue made by selling the phone.
