OnePlus 8 Series sale date revealed in India

UPDATE: The OnePlus 8 5G will be available on Amazon India in a special sale, starting at 2pm on 18 May 2020.

A few weeks back, OnePlus launched the much-awaited OnePlus 8 series – OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro in the Indian market starting at Rs. 41,999 and Rs. 54,999 respectively. OnePlus 8 with 6.55-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED 90Hz display, Snapdragon 865, up to 12GB RAM announced

OnePlus just announced the OnePlus 8, the company’s latest flagship smartphone and the successor of last year’s OnePlus 7T in an online launch event, as it had promised. It has a 6.55-inch FHD+  Fluid AMOLED display, 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 16-megapixel in-screen camera with Sony IMX471 sensor. It has HDR 10+ support, tuned color accuracy rating of JNCD around 0.4 for life-like quality. OnePlus says that it has 4096 levels of auto brightness control and has A+ Display rating from DisplayMate. The OnePlus 8 has 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection, is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 SoC with X55 5G modem that supports both NSA and SA 5G, up to 12GB of RAM, and runs Android 10.0 with OxygenOS 10. OnePlus 8 Series with Fluid AMOLED display earn DisplayMate’s ‘A+’ rating

OnePlus recently confirmed the OnePlus 8 series will be introduced in an online event on April 14th. After revealing  Quad HD+ HDR 120 Hz Fluid Display with MEMC chip back for the OnePlus 8 Pro in January, 5G support for the OnePlus 8 Series recently, and Snapdragon 865 SoC, coupled with LPDDR5 and UFS 3.0 for the OnePlus 8 Pro earlier this week, OnePlus has announced that the upcoming OnePlus 8 series have earned the highest overall display rating and Best Smartphone Display Award from DisplayMate. OnePlus 8 Series online launch event set for April 14

After rumors OnePlus just confirmed the OnePlus 8 global online launch event on April 14th. “At the launch event, a newly engineered display with an incredible 120 Hz refresh rate will be introduced, poised to deliver an even more fluid and immersive viewing experience. Coupled with it are a handful of other new and exciting technologies that will elevate the OnePlus flagship experience to a new level,” said the company in the official release. OnePlus 8 with 6.55-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED 90Hz display, Snapdragon 865 surfaces in press images

CAD render of the OnePlus 8 surfaced back in October last year and the detailed specifications surfaced earlier this week revealing 6.55-inch Full HD+ 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display, Snapdragon 865 with 5G support, bigger 4300mAh battery with support for warp Charge 30T Fast Charging and also revealed Interstellar Glow, Glacial Green and Onyx Black colors for the phone. Now the press render of the phone has surfaced in all the three colors as we inch closer to  the launch. OnePlus 8 series will have 5G support confirms OnePlus

OnePlus 8 series is expected launch mid-April, and the rumored launch date is April 15th. Today the company has confirmed that its upcoming flagship phones will have 5G support. OnePlus said that began its 5G research as early as 2016, and added that the company has accumulated a wealth of experience and cutting-edge technology for tackling the commercialization and mass production of 5G smartphones. OnePlus is the latest company to join Wireless Power Consortium, a group of companies for developing and promoting the Qi wireless charging standard. This indicates that future OnePlus will have Qi wireless charging, and this should be the OnePlus 8 series expected to launch in mid-2020.
