Xiaomi has appointed Shou Zi Chew as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He was a former partner at DST Investment Management Ltd, which has invested in several companies, including Xiaomi. Before joining DST in 2010, he worked at Goldman Sachs. Shou Zi will support tech innovation, ecosystem development and global expansion plans, said the company. After setting a foothold in Indian markets, Xiaomi is now foraying into Brazil. The Chinese telecom maker has announced that it will launch in Brazil on June 30th.

Xiaomi has just announced that it has sold over 10 million (1 crore in Indian terms) units of its Mi 4 smartphone worldwide since its release in August last year and they’re running a contest to celebrate.
In April, Xiaomi stated that they managed to sell over 4 million units of the Mi Band and now in just two months time, it has managed to sell an additional 2 million that brings the total to over 6 million Mi Band’s that have been sold worldwide.
