LG announces Optimus Sol with Android 2.3, 1GHz processor and Ultra AMOLED display

LG has announced another phone in the Optimus series, Optimus Sol. This phone has 3.8 inch Ultra AMOLED display, 1GHz processor and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Recently they announced two Optimus phones, Optimus Net with the Dual SIM and NFC support in select markets and a QWERTY phone Optimus Pro. 120,000 Units of LG Optimus 3D Sold in South Korea

An LG spokesman announced that LG has done very well globally as well as in Korea. The LG has managed to sell over 120,000 units of the Optimus 3D since its launch last month on the SK Telecom network.

Leak: Samsung Hercules, HTC Ruby and LG Flip II for T-Mobile USA

Samsung Galaxy S II is currently the most anticipated Android smartphone in USA and all 4 major carriers are getting ready to launch it. We recently got words from Samsung executive that SGSII will hit USA in August, so hopefully it will be announced anytime this month. T-Mobile variant was leaked recently but it wasn’t fully revealed, but now it is. Folks over at Tmo-News got their hands on first leaked shots of T-Mobile SGSII a.k.a Samsung Hercules. It comes with a 4.5 Inch SAMOLED display, Android 2.3 along with TouchWiz UI, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and a lot of other good stuff. LG rolls out Remote Maintenance Services for Optimus smartphones Globally

LG Electronics (LG) has started rolling out the remote customer care services for the LG Optimus series of smartphones globally. This includes Remote Call application and the LG FOTA (Firmware Over-the-Air) system to diagnose software problems and offer software upgrades direct to the user’s mobile phones. IDC : Mobile Phone Market Q2 2011 – Nokia, Samsung, LG top mobile phone vendors by shipments


According to report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation) the Worldwide mobile phone market grew 11.3% year over year in the 2nd quarter of 2011 (2Q11) with the worldwide shipment of 328.4 million units. AT&T to offer LG Thrill 4G for only $99 on contract

LG Thrill 4G was officially announced by AT&T back in March which is actually AT&T variant of world’s first ever 3D Android smartphone known as the LG Optimus 3D. We recently heard that AT&T will be launching it this month and July is about to end. Well, it seems that the launch is around the corner because BGR is reporting that AT&T will be launching it for $99 with a 2-yr contract but still no words on release date, but my guess is that either it’s coming in few days or probably in the first week of August. LG Roadmap Leaks : 4 Androids , 1 Mango Device Enroute

LG’s Android line up for the second half of 2011 just got leaked by PocketNow.  The massive leak of devices shows 4 Android devices including the successor to the Prada phone. A new device running on WP7 Mango is also expected to hit the market with high end specifications.

Samsung launching Galaxy 3D later this year?

Earlier this year, Samsung announced their new flagship device which is known as the Samsung Galaxy S II and they are selling it very well. Galaxy S II is considered as one of the best Android smartphones available in the market at the moment. Well, now it looks like Samsung is working on a new Galaxy device as our friends over at Sammy Hub spotted on Korean website ETNews that Samsung is working on a device which will feature a 3D display and would be known as Galaxy 3D. It’s just a rumor so just take it with a grain of salt but you can put a little trust on it because recently companies like HTC and LG introduced phones with 3D display, so if Samsung is also working on one then there is no surprise. Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread Update Now Available For LG G2x

After waiting for almost 4 months, LG finally rolled out the official Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) update for the LG G2x smartphone. Sadly, this update is not available via. Over-The-Air (OTA).

Back in March, T-Mobile announced the Android powered LG G2x smartphone. This handset is the T-Mobile’s version of the popular LG Optimus 2X smartphone. LG G2x originally runs on the old Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS. Back in April, T-Mobile promised that, the powerful LG G2x will get the Gingerbread update soon. After waiting for almost 4 months, LG finally rolled out the official Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) update for the LG G2x smartphone. LG Optimus Black Running WP7 Spotted ?

The guys at 3G Centrum have got their hands on a very interesting LG Handset. The phone which looks identical to the Android based LG Nova is running a build of Windows Phone 7. While it first appeared that a skin had been loaded over the default Android installation but so far none of the skins are as elaborate which lends further weight behind the thought that LG might be coming out with a WP7 based handset in the same shell as the Optimus Black.

LG Optimus Net and LG Optimus Pro gets official

Earlier this week LG’s first Android QWERTY business phone LG Optimus Pro was spotted in Italy. Now the LG Optimus Pro (C660) and the LG Optimus Net (P690) gets official through the LG Italy Facebook page. The LG Optimus Net is the successor of LG Optimus One, that was launched last year.
