The name has got something to do with the audio chipset which produces high quality sound and the ear earphone noise cancellation according to the company’s claims. Google has just announced the next major update to it’s Android Operating System . You might have heard of the Froyo update for a past several days. The Android 2.2 codenamed Froyo was finally announced at Google IO conference in San Francisco and Google gave away an HTC EVO 4G for Free to all attendees. Coming back to the update, it looks cool and brings some nice changes like ability to turn your phone into a WiFi Hotspot. Google is claiming Performance improvements of 2-5 times over Android 2.1 ! You can also send links from PC to open on phone with the new Android market website ! One of the coolest things we saw was the possibility to stream DRM Free music from your PC to your Phone !
At the Google I/O Conference, Google announced a new version of Google Voice for Android. Nokia Software Updater, the desktop tool through which you can update the firmwares of your Nokia Devices has been updated to v2.5.2 from its previous version v2.5.1.

Yesterday, we showed you a QWERTY-less version of the LG Windows 7 phone. But now again, we have a photo gallery showing the same device with the QWERTY keyboard again.
The rumours of the Apple iPod Touch getting a camera is nothing new to us. We have seen it way back last year even before the current line-up was announced . The iPod with camera showed up again this year on ebay.
Even then we were unsure about it’s legitimity until now.
The Department of Telecom (DoT) just posted the list of winners for the 3G Auctions in various circles. Airtel , Aircel ,Reliance, Idea, Tata , STel won atleast 1 circle. Videocon and Etisalat did not win even one circle ! Once the formalities are over we should expect commercial services to be offered by the winners starting from September 2010

The Nokia 6700 Slide which was just recently launched in India has landed in our house too and before we put our grubby mitts on it, we decided to share with you the first pictures of us taking it out of its box and discovering it for the first time.
The Samsung i8910 OMNIA HD was a great phone at the time of introduction and it is still a great phone a year on since it’s introduction. But as with everything, it requires a successor to carry on it’s legacy and this leaked phone might just be that. The phone in the picture is said to be the Samsung i8920 otherwise known as the OMNIA HD 2.
The Indian mobile phone industry has seen unprecedented growth and emergence of new players in the market. Players like Micromax, Maxx, Karbonn have come from nowhere and started selling handsets in the lakhs.
Amongst them is a company called Olive. Olive Mobiles is a new entrant just like the ones above and many more. So what makes them unique you might ask, they all are the same after all! One look and you might say so. But a closer look reveals that it is not the same.
Olive phones have made quite a splash with their handsets. Engadget even covered one of their models. A feat, no Indian manufacturer I know has managed till date.
