
motorola launched the motorola signature smartphone in the new singature series in India today. This has a LTPO AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, 6.99 sleek design, yet packs a 5200mAh battery. Here we have the first impressions of the phone.

Starting with the screen, the motorola signature has a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with up to 165Hz refresh rate, and the peak brightness is 6200 nits. This also has Pantone™ Validated Display and SkinTone™ accuracy, Dolby-powered Dynamic Video Enhancement, Smart Water Touch, advanced eye-care protections. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The phone has a 50MP camera on the front with up to 4K 60fps video recording. The earpiece works as the secondary speaker. It has an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The bezels are minimal.
The main highlight of the phone is its 6.99mm sleek design. It has an Aircraft-grade aluminum frame that is premium in looks and feel and is solid to hold. The sides feature a matte finish.
The volume rockers and the power button are present on the right side. The dedicated AI key is present on the left side. The dual SIM slot, USB Type-C port and speaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is on the top, along with Dolby Atmos branding. You can see the antenna bands.

Powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which is a good chip for the price, even though it misses out on the 8 Elite GEn 5. The phone has 16GB LPDDR5X RAM RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.
The phone runs Android 16 out of the box and will get 7 Android OS updates and 7 years of security updates, a first for a moto phone. It has moto AI 2.0 features such as Next Move, AI Image Studio, Sketch to Image, Style Sync, Text to Sticker, Catch Me Up 2.0, Pay Attention live transcriptions, AI Playlist Studio, Global Search, Auto Screenshot Blur, This On That, Remember This and Recall act.

It has a 50MP main camera with Sony LYTIA 828 sensor, 50MP ultra-wide camera with support for macro, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera with Sony LYTIA 600 sensor. The main and telephoto camera support up to 8K 30fps recording, and the ultra-wide supports up to 4K 60fps video recording. There is also Dolby Vision HDR video recording. It has IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and has military-grade durability with MIL-STD-810H certification. It has a fabric-inspired that feels smooth to the touch and doesn’t get fingerprints.
