REDMI Turbo 5 series to be unveiled on January 29th


After teasers, Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of REDMI Turbo 5 series in China on January 29th. This includes the REDMI Turbo 5 Max which will be the first phone to be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500s SoC.

The REDMI Turbo 5 Max will also be the first phone from Xiaomi to pack a 9000mAh battery with 100W fast charging with PPS support and 27W reverse wired charging.

Xiaomi smartphone head Lu Weibing already said that the Turbo 5 Max will be the best choice in the 2.5K yuan price range for 2026. He added that the 9000mAh battery in the phone will challenge the 10,000mAh battery phone.

The phone will feature elegant large rounded corners, ultra-narrow bezel, CNC metal frame, a flagship fibreglass rear finish, metal racetrack-shaped Deco, double-ring turbine light strip and come in a new Sea Breeze Blue colour.

The Dimensity 9500s will use TSMC’s N3E process and feature 1 x 3.73GHz Cortex-X925 + 3 x 3.30GHz Cortex-X4 + 4 x 2.40GHz Cortex-A720 and Mali Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU.

REDMI Buds 8 Pro

Xiaomi will also introduce the REDMI Buds 8 Pro with dual 6.7mm piezoelectric ceramic drivers and an 11mm titanium-plated dynamic driver, support Xiaomi’s self-developed MIHC codec, LHDC-V5, and Hi-Res wireless audio alongside.

It will also come with 55dB, 5kHz flagship ultra-wideband noise cancellation with an average noise reduction depth of 28dB. Environmental awareness-based adaptive noise cancellation dynamically adjusts the noise cancellation scheme according to the environment.

REDMI Pad 2 Pro Harry Potter Edition

There will also be a Redmi Pad 2 Pro Harry Potter Edition with deep customisation with a classic Hogwarts school badge engraving, and it will come with a magical school-style storage bag.
