Xperia X10 getting Gingerbread update !

Xperia X10 was Sony Ericsson’s first Android smartphone with 4-inch capacitive touch display, 8.1 megapixel camera, and the cool Rachael Android UI with Mediascape and Timescape UI. The Xperia X10 got updated to Android 2.1 last year. It looks like they have changed the mind of canceling updates to X10. Gevey SIM Unlocks iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3

So here is the news for all those who own an iPhone 4 running on 4.2.1 or above versions and have been waiting for the Dev team’s Ultrasnow to do the unlocking. The phone can finally be unlocked with a new SIM imposter called Gevey SIM. A SIM card hack known as Gevey has been released to unlock the iPhone 4 running the latest iOS 4.3 software and baseband. Market for Smartphones with a large display is increasing in U.S – NPD Survey

According to the survey conducted by NPD group, U.S consumers have started buying smartphones with larger displays that are above 4 inches. First Android phone to debut with larger display was Xperia X10 in March 2010. Who would have thought, now there are more than 30 phones with display size of 4 inch and more.

Samsung Apps clocks 100 Million Downloads in just 10 months

Samsung just announced that it’s Mobile and TV application store Samsung Apps has crossed 100 Million downloads since it’s launch in June 2010. The app store now boasts of 13,000 apps and is available in 120 countries.France, Germany and Spain accounted for 40% of all downloads from the app store.

Rumor: Motorola to reduce Xoom shipments gradually – Xoom 2 expected?

Motorola is expected to ship 700,000-800,000 units of their first Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet Xoom in the first quarter of 2011. With total shipment of 200,000 units in the month of February, which should reach 400,000-500,000 at the end of month of march, their forecast looks good according to upstream suppliers.
