Sony Xperia neo L with Android 4.0, 4-inch display announced in China

Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia neo L (MT25i), their first smartphone to run Android 4.0 out of the box in China.  It has 4-inch (480 x 854) TFT display and is powered by 1 GHz processor along with Adreno 205 GPU. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, secondary VGA video calling camera. The design is similar to the Xperia Play sans joystick and has 4 physical buttons below the display. Al Jazeera has launched the Al Jazeera English news app for iPhone. This app offers popular sections of the Al Jazeera English website, including: Breaking News, Opinion, Features, and same-day access to full-length programmes. You can also watch live streaming of 24-hour news broadcasts in audio and video format completely free of charge. Windows Phone Tango to up multitasking limit to 8 apps

Microsoft has been trying to put across the point that the Tango update will be fairly minor and aims to bring down the requirement levels to be able to launch lower end hardware without compromising the experience. What it hasn’t told anyone is that due to the reduced hardware requirements , current hardware will be able to perform better. Keeping this in mind , Microsoft has increased the limit for apps allowed to multitask to 8.

Zync launches Z-990 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 in India at Rs. 8,990

Zync, an Apple Group company from Noida, Uttar Pradesh has launched Zync Z-990, India’s first tablet that runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The Zync Z-990 has 7-inch TFT Capacitive Touch Screen display and is powered by 1.2 GHz processor. It has 1GB RAM, 4GB in-built memory, which is expandable up to 32 GB. White Sony Xperia S goes on sale in UK

Sony Xperia S White version is now available in UK. Online retailer Colve UK has finally started shipping the White version of the device, including pre-ordered ones. Sony announced the Xperia S in January at CES 2012 and it went on pre-order in UK in mid-January. Samsung releases Galaxy S2 Android 4.0 source code

HTC partners with LogMeIn to fix your Android phone remotely

HTC has partnered with LogMeIn to offer a remote rescue software on all its future Android devices including the newly announced One series. As part of the agreement LogMeIn will provide HTC call centers worldwide with software which can connect to a remote Android phone allowing customer care representatives to diagnose the problem. A constant data connection will enable a remote HTC phone to diagnosed and fixed from anywhere in the world.

Motorola DROID Fighter revealed in leaked image

Motorola’s next high end model may have been revealed in a leaked image on Chinese forum PhoneHK. The handset is said to pack in the same battery as the RAZR MAXX with a whopping 3300 mAh. The screen seems to have been upgraded to a 4.6″ 720p panel.
