Samsung has announced 2 new touch screen phones, Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS that is the successor of Samsung Star, Star Duos and Star 2 phones. These phones come with 3-inch (320 x 240 pixels) TFT LCD touch screen and 3.2 Megapixel Fixed Focus camera. Wikipedia app is finally available for Android. This would let the users search articles nearby, share articles using Android Share function, read article in a different language and more. This official app by Wikimedia Foundation is already available for iPhone. The iPhone app has also received updates such as geo service for near by and some crash and bug fixes. ACE in white looks quite stunning. Now its preloaded with Android 2.3.5 which provides performance boost to the ACE. It is quite smooth and snappy out of the box compared to Android 2.2 (Froyo). Other that the software it is similar to the black version of the Galaxy Ace The current MOP of ACE White edition is Rs. 14500/- in Mumbai, India.

Sony Ericsson has launched the Live with Walkman in India. This is the successor of the Walkman W8 and Mix Walkman and features dedicated Walkman hardware button and it also comes with . It has 3.2-inch (320 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Motorola announced the DEFY MINI, rugged Android phone earlier this month. Clove UK has announced that it is available for pre-order and would ship at the end of February or early March. The DEFY MINI is Dustproof and water-resistant and has 3.2-inch touchscreen Corning GorillaGlass display, 600MHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Nokia has been voted as India’s Most Trusted Brand again and retains their first position from the last year according to a recent survey conducted by research firm Trust Research Advisory (TRA). In the telecom sector, Airtel leads by retaining the same 9th spot as last year. The Brand Trust Report, India Study, 2012 (BTR 2012) has listed India’s 1000 Most Trusted Brands and this research was conducted among 2718 ‘influencer’ respondents across 15 cities. It has 8MP camera with Full HD video recording, flash and BIS sensor, 2MP front facing camera. It is 9.34mm thick and weighs 479g. Recently we were invited for a HUAWEI Blogger’s Meet in Mumbai and were shown 3 recently launched HUAWEI Android devices. Here are the hands-on photos of IDEOS X3.
HUAWEI IDEOS X3 is another entry level 3G Android Gingerbread device launched in India for Rs. 9990/- (MOP). It has 3.2” TFT LCD HVGA display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 SOC (System on Chip) running at 600MHz. IDEOS X3 has a 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM. This device is actually unique as even it is a entry level Android smartphone, X3 has a premium design with curved body and nice soft touch matt plastic covering all back side of the device. Overall the device feels quite solid in hand. The X3 has VGA FFC (Front Facing Camera) for Internet Video Calls. The display is quite bright and due to its size (3.2”) and HVGA resolution it was quite sharp for our eyes. The X3 has 3.2MP Fixed Focus main camera without LED Flash.
