Nokia Lumia 520 available at retail stores starting from April 6th for Rs. 10499


Nokia India has announced that the Lumia 520 would go on sale from retail stores across India starting from tomorrow, April 6th 2013 for Rs. 10,499. It went up on pre order last week and went on sale online earlier this week. Nokia already announced at the Lumia 520 launch event last month that the phone would come with 1 GB of free 3G data from Reliance per month for 2 months. Now they have announced the phone would come with unlimited access to Facebook and WhatsApp for two months for new and existing Reliance Comm (GSM) subscribers.

The Nokia Lumia 520 is the most affordable Windows Phone 8 Smartphone yet. It was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in 2013 in Barcelona last month, and comes with a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display with 2D hardened glass, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8227 processor. It has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with 720p HD video recording. It is 9.9 mm thick and weighs 124 grams.

Other features include a 512MB RAM, 8GB internal memory, up to 64GB expandable memory with microSD. The connectivity features include, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS / aGPS. It packs a 1430mAh battery that offers up to 9.6 hours talk time and up to 360 hours standby. It comes pre-loaded with Big Flix app that would offer 3 months of free movie streaming.

The Lumia 520 comes in yellow, red, cyan, white, and black along with optional changeable shells.
