Samsung Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fame with 1 GHz processor, Android 4.1 announced

Samsung has announced two new Android Smartphones, the Galaxy Young and the Galaxy Fame. These smartphones are powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Galaxy Young has a 3.27-inch ( 480 × 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and the Galaxy Fame has a 3.5-inch ( 480 × 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The Galaxy Young has a 3MP rear camera, while the Galaxy Fame comes with a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash and a VGA front-facing camera. HTC promises a new sound and Ultrapixel camera with M7 ?

HTC has posted a new info graphic about the Brief History of Photography where they mention the HTC Droid, the company’s first phone for Verizon with an 8MP camera, the HTC Evo 3D with dual cameras for 3D recording, the HTC One X which can click pictures while recording a video. In this list they have teased a new sound and camera experience in 2013. This might be the M7 with a Ultrapixel camera sensor. Idea launches 3G Speed Booster plans for postpaid customers

Idea Cellular has launched new 3G speed booster plans for post-paid customers that would let them enjoy high-speed data throughout their billing cycle. These plans are aimed at high-end data users with unlimited and bill secure plans, so that they need not wait till the next billing cycle to get their original speed back, rather than being throttled to 128 Kbps after the data cap based on the plan. Idea Cellular offers 3G speeds of up to 21.1 Mbps till the respective volume of usage.

Microsoft Research releases Blink burst image lens app for Windows Phone 8 devices

Microsoft Research has released Blink for Windows Phone 8 device that would let you capture a burst of images. It uses Advanced image stabilization technology from Microsoft Research removes camera shake and lets you focus on the important parts of the scene. Since this is a camera lens app just like the Bing Vision and the recently updated Bing Translator, you can easily launch it quickly when you launch the camera. Micromax A89 Ninja with 1 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 now available for Rs. 6190

Micromax A89 Ninja, a new Android smartphone in the Ninja series is now on sale in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 3.97-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz Mediatek MT6577 processor similar to the Micromax A110 and the A90S, that were launched last year . It has a 3 Megapixel rear camera. Xiaomi MI-2 hands on

Long time back in August 2012, we had seen the Xiaomi MI-2 launch in China with it being the successor to the first MIUI phone, from the makers of the MIUI ROMs for Android. It has a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is one of the first devices to pack the APQ8064 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with Adreno 320 Graphics. It runs on the MIUI ROM based on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean). We had some hands on time with the Xiaomi MI-2 at the International CES 2013 and here is a hands on video demo of it.

Lenovo IdeaPhone S890 hands-on

Lenovo unveiled range of Android smartphones at the CES 2013. We got some hands-on time with the IdeaPhone S890, the company’s high-end smartphone at CES. It has a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD IPS screen with 178 degree viewing angle and the phone is 9.3mm thick. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with Lenovo’s custom UI on top. It also has dual SIM support with dual standby.

LG Vu Talk Demo

We had shown you the hands on of the LG Optimus Vu II earlier, and with the Vu II comes an interesting real-time collaboration feature that might impress you at first sight, and that is called Vu Talk. Vu Talk works between two Optimus Vu devices over a 3G or a WiFi network. It’s basically like real-time messaging but using a stylus-laden note taking app. Check out the really impressive demo of the Vu Talk in the hands on video.

Asus MeMO Pad 10 press images surface, launching at MWC?

Images of Asus MeMo Pad 10 (ME301T), the company’s upcoming 10-inch Tablet has surfaced online. It is also reportedly on sale in Netherlands and Italy before the official announcement. The specifications of the tablet surfaced last month, and it was rumored to show up in CES 2013. This has a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor similar to the Transformer Pad TF300TG that was launched in India back in September last year. Carbon for Twitter finally arrives for Android

Carbon Twitter client for Android that was first previewed in March last year is finally available on Google Play. The UI looks good, and there are lot of unique features such as Tilt to Refresh, QuickTimeline, but it is missing lot of settings, Homescreen Widgets and Streaming. HTC M4 and HTC G2 specs leak out, to be announced after M7?

The HTC M7 is almost confirmed, with them planning the press event at London and NYC on the 19th of February, right before the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona, which is starting on the 25th. But according to some new leaks from the leakmeister, @EVleaks at UnwiredView, HTC is filling up its portfolio with two other devices, the HTC M4 and the HTC G2. By looking at the specs, the HTC M4 looks like a mid to high end device, with possibilities of it being a successor to the HTC One S. It is also interesting to note that the hardware specs somewhat resemble the HTC Windows Phone 8X, while the HTC G2(which bears no similarities to the first Android phone) is supposedly a low end device and a probable successor to the HTC Desire C.

Evernote Hello for iPhone v2.0 update brings new UI, Business Card Scanning and more

Evernote has updated their Hello app for iPhone to version 2.0 that brings lot of new features including a new user interface with a new home screen that offers more context of a person at a glace, option to scan business cards (free for first 2 month, after that it would be available only for premium users), LinkedIn and Facebook integration and lots more new features.
