While the rest of the world is just warming up to the idea of LTE, Samsung has gone ahead and announced the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A for Korea with high data speeds upto 150 Mbps. And anything with LTE in it, is usually powered by one of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips and the Galaxy S4 LTE-A is no exception. Powering the high speed phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC which blazed through benchmark tests that we ran recently. The flagship top tier chip is powering the Galaxy S4 and its LTE-A chip by providing the promised speeds of up to 150 Mbps.
Spice introduced the Smart Flo Pace 2 a few weeks back at a price point of Rs. 6,999. The handset is powered by a 1Ghz processor and is paired with 512MB of RAM. The low amount of RAM does get in the way of multitasking on the handset. The processor too isn’t particularly powerful but the bloat free stock Android build keeps things running smooth. It was rumoured that Android 4.3 will be launched with the stock HTC One version, but there was no trace of the new version of Android when the device was launched recently. Recently the camera interface for the Android 4.3 was leaked by someone having 4.3 running on a Nexus 4 at a Thai expo. The new UI was supposed to come with Android 4.3, instead Google has decided to put some new features of Android 4.3 on these phones instead of the complete new update. Now, we have the apk and you can install it in any device just like you install any application.

The first blurry image of the Xperia i1 codenamed ‘Honami’ surfaced earlier this month along with the rumored specs, now a clear image of the device has surfaced on a Brazilian website Techtudo. It confirms that the phone would have a 20-megapixel rear camera but it would not come with interchangeable lenses as rumored. The top image shows the Xperia i1 in the center with the Xperia Z Ultra and the Xperia ZQ (Brazilian variant of the Xperia ZL). Videocon Mobiles has launched the A55HD, the company’s latest flagship smartphone. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display at 295 PPI with one-glass solution (OGS) technology. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash with Panorama Shot and up to 40 Continuous Shots (Burst) and a 3.2 -megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby.

Google has started selling the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One running stock Android. in the U.S through the Google Play. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition was announced the Google I/O last month and the HTC One running stock Android was announced at the end of last month. Both these phones run on stock Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Google is calling these the Google Play edition and the phones would automatically receive updates of the latest Android software. With the announcement of the Xperia Z Ultra, Sony showed they definitely mean business. The Xperia Z Ultra is the world’s first smartphone to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, although the new Galaxy S4 LTE-A also uses Qualcomm’s latest chipset. Clocked at 2.2GHz, the processor promises fantastic performance as you can see in our Snapdragon 800 benchmarking.

American cellular operator, Sprint, announced that it will be carrying a new Windows Phone running smartphone called the Samsung ATIV S Neo. The new handset will sport some rather interesting features including what is being called as ATIV Beam. This Samsung exclusive application will let users ‘beam’ across photos, music and videos to other Windows Phone 8 and select Android devices.
