Infinix launched the Infinix Hot 60i 5G, the company’s latest budget 5G smartphone, in India last week. Here we have the unboxing and first impressions of the phone.

The phone has a 6.75-inch (720 x 1600 pixels) HD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is bright since it has up to 670 nits peak brightness.
There is a 5MP front camera inside the tiny notch. The earpiece is present on the top edge, but it doesn’t double up as a secondary speaker. There is a large bezel below the screen, which is common in phones in the price range.
The phone runs Android 15 with XOS 15 on top. XOS 15 brings now lets you customize the size of the icons, and also shape and the colors. It has several special functions that support multi-tasking (Floating Window, Dynamic Bar), performance (Game Mode), and Security (Theft Alert, Peek Proof).
Under the hood, the Hot 60i 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It has support for several 5G bands, has 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage. The UltraLink feature offers calls over Bluetooth even without network.
Coming to button placements and ports, the power button that integrates the fingerprint scanner is present on the right side along with volume rockers. The hybrid dual SIM slot is present on the left side. The 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. It is just 8.14mm thick.
The phone has 50MP rear camera with f/1.6 aperture, LED flash, and has support for up to 2K 30fps video recording.

Even with a plastic back and frame, the phone feels solid in hand and there is a matte finish. The phone has a dual-tone finish, also comes in Monsoon Green, Plum Red, Sleek Black colours colours. It has a 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It has IP64 ratings for dust and splash resistance.
The Infinix Hot 60i 5G is priced at 9,299 for the single 4GB + 128GB model. With Rs. 300 discount on pre-paid cards, the effective price is Rs. 8,999.
The phone will be available from Flipkart, Infinix India online store, and retail stores starting from August 21st.
