Apple released iOS 9.1 update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch earlier this week that added over 184 new emoji characters with full support for Unicode 7.0 and 8.0 emojis. iOS also became the first operating system to include every single emoji in the Unicode Standard. Google didn’t include new emojis in the latest Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update. HTC Grip wearable fitness tracker delayed till Q1 2016

HTC announced Grip, its GPS enabled wearable fitness tracker at the MWC 2015 in partnership with Under Armour. Earlier this year HTC said that it will launch the fitness tracker later this year. It packs a 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED  display, is powered by an Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with BlackBerry’s own features and apps, including DTEK by BlackBerry for Android that lets you know when your privacy could be at risk so you can take action to improve it. It has an 18-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash, OIS, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Creative has launched Sound Blaster FRee, it’s latest portable Bluetooth speaker in India. The main highlight of the speaker is that it has IPX4-certified splash proof design.  When placed the speaker upright, it offers 360-degree sound, even though it is compact. It uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to devices, has Multi-point Bluetooth that allows up to two connections at once.

Samsung Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 4G smartphones go official in China

Samsung Galaxy On5 (SM-G550F) briefly appeared on the Samsung India website earlier this week. Now the Galaxy On7 (SM-G600) has been listed on Samsung China website (Via) that also confirms the Galaxy On5. The Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 smartphones have 5-inch and 5.5-inch HD displays, respectively. The Galaxy On5 is powered by a quad-core Exynos 3475 processor and has a 8-megapixel rear camera, but the Galaxy On7’s quad-core processor is clocked at 1.2GHz (could be Snapdragon 410) and it has a 13-megapixel rear camera.

Xolo BLACK 1X launching on October 28

Xolo has sent out invite for the launch its new BLACK series smartphone that will called the BLACK 1X. The invite doesn’t reveal any details about the new BLACK series smartphone. The company will unveil the smartphone on Twitter (@MyXOLO) on October 28th from 12PM to 1PM, similar to what it did for the Omega series smartphones back in December last year.
