Oppo unveiled few details about the N1 mini last month ahead of its launch event. Today at an event in Beijing the company unveiled the N1 mini, a compact version of its last year’s flagship Oppo N1. The N1 mini has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display from JDI, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android based Color OS 1.4. It has a 13-megapixel rotating camera with  1/3.2″ Sony IMX214 stacked sensor, 6-element lens,  f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. PayPal head David Marcus joins Facebook to focus on mobile messaging

Facebook has poached PayPal’s president David Marcus to oversee its Messenger unit. Marcus, who was president of PayPal for a little over two years, will join Facebook as vice president of messaging products.

Oppo has unveiled Oppo R3, the company’s latest smartphone in the R series at an event in Beijing. It has a 5-inch ( 1280 x 720 pixels) display, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android with Color OS on top. It is just 6.3mm thick and has magnesium alloy body. Apple drops the ban hammer on apps that reward IAPs for social sharing, video views

ZTE to roll out six smartphones including 4G handsets in India in 2014

NTT Docomo unveils Portable SIM, wearable tech that could replace SIM cards

NTT Docomo Portable SIM

Japanese carrier NTT Docomo has unveiled a new device called Portable SIM that aims to replace SIM cards in smartphones and tablets. This would let you wireless activate any compatible smartphone or a tablet with securely stored subscriber identity information on the device. This portable authentication device is still in prototype stage, so it is not yet compatible with any smartphone or tablet currently on the market.
