Huawei Honor V8 with 5.7-inch QHD display, dual rear cameras gets certified ahead of May 10 announcement

Huawei recently confirmed that it will unveil its flagship Honor V8 smartphone at an event in China on  May 10th. Today the smartphone has been certified on TENAA in three variants –  KNT-AL20, KNT-AL10 and KNT-TL10. The high-end variant is expected to be powered by Kirin 955 SoC and come with 64GB of internal storage, while the other two variants are expected to be powered by a Kirin 950 SoC. Xiaomi already shared a teaser of its upcoming Mi Max phablet with a huge 6.4-inch display. Today Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the smartphone will be announced on May 10th. Even though earlier rumors said that it will have a Quad HD screen and will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC, GFXBench listing reveals that it will be a mid-range smartphone with a 1080p screen and will be powered by a Snapdragon 650 SoC, similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

Samsung Galaxy Note6 rumors have started surfacing months ahead of the official announcement. Earlier reports suggested that the Note6 will be waterproof, similar to Galaxy S7 series, will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 SoC and come with a iris scanner, in addition to a fingerprint sensor. Now a new report says that Samsung is testing a 5.8-inch Quad HD curved screen for the Note6 as well as a standard screen of the same size, but it is planning to release only one version. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 3 smartphone in India early last month, which went on sale in the first flash sale starting from March 9th. The smartphone usually sells out in few minutes after the flash sale begins and the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant goes on sale rarely. Now Xiaomi India has announced that both the variants will be available through open sale, without registration on April 27th.
