Google releases Android 7.1.1 Developer Preview 2 for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9 and Pixel C

Google released Android 7.1 Nougat developer preview for older Nexus devices last month, now it has released final Android 7.1.1 Developer Preview 2 for these devices that adds the developer features already available on Pixel and Pixel XL devices. In addition it adds optimizations and bug fixes.

“Developer Preview 2 is a release candidate for Android 7.1.1 that you can use to complete your app development and testing in preparation for the upcoming final release. In includes near-final system behaviors and UI, along with the latest bug fixes and optimizations across the system and Google apps. It also includes the developer features and APIs (API level 25) already introduced in Developer Preview 1.” said Google.

Android 7.1.1 Nougat Developer preview 2 (build NPF26F and NPF26H) is now available for download for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9 (WiFi and LTE) and Pixel C devices through the Android developer website here. You can also get it through Android Beta Program, which is the easiest way to get it.

As Google already said, stable Android 7.1.1 Nougat update will be available in December 2016 for supported devices that includes, Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Nexus 9, Pixel C, General Mobile 4G (Android One), as well as Pixel and Pixel XL.
