Xiaomi has become the second largest smartphone vendor in India in Q4 2016 with 10.7 percent market share, according to latest report from IDC. The Chinese smartphone maker also said it has sold more than three million units of Redmi 3S (includes Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime and Redmi 3S+) in less than six months.

Xiaomi sells over 1 million Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime smartphones on Flipkart

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime, budget 4G smartphones with metal body in India back in August on Mi.com and Flipkart starting at Rs. 6999. Today Flipkart announced that it has sold over 1 million or 10 lakh units of these phones within 3 months of launch. Xiaomi recently said that it sold more than 2.3 million or 23 lakh units of Redmi Note 3 smartphones in India till September. Xiaomi just announced Redmi 3s a variant of the Redmi 3 in China. It has a 5-inch HD screen, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus of just 0.1 second and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the Redmi 3, but this has is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 SoC and comes in 2GB of RAM with 16GB storage or 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage variants.
