Google WearOS may focus on health and fitness features in future updates

Google’s WearOS has historically struggled to be a worthy competitor to Apple’s WatchOS  or Samsung’s Tizen OS. After buying FitBit back in November 2019, we expected Google to Health and Fitness functionalities into WearOS eventually. Now, Google has been asking feedback via a Google User Experience Research program on possible new features for future versions of WearOS.

Vivo APEX 2020 with 6.45-inch FHD+ 120° FullView edgeless display, under screen front camera, 60W wireless charging announced

Vivo just announced APEX 2020, the company’s latest concept phone, as it had promised. The phone has 6.45-inch 120° FullView warp-around display that bends at an angle of up to 120° on both sides. Similar to the predecessor, this doesn’t have any ports or buttons, instead it uses press-sensitive buttons on the sides, and vivo’s third-generation screen SoundCasting Technology. Apple rumoured to release Smart Keyboard with built-in trackpad accessory in 2020

Apple is reportedly developing an iPad Pro Smart Keyboard with a built-in trackpad, according to a news report from The Information. The Smart Keyboard with Trackpad will likely go into mass production and it may be released sometime later this year.

Realme band launching in India on March 5 [Update: New teaser shows 3 colors, Cricket mode and more]

Update: February 28, 2020 — realme has posted a new teaser that shows Black, Green and Yellow colors. It has also confirmed 9 sports modes that includes run, walk, hiking, climbing, yoga, fitness, spinning, bike and cricket mode. It will come with sleep tracking similar to most other bands, and feature built-in charging port. The band will come with IP68 ratings for water resistance and offer smart notifications. There will be hate to wait limited-time sale on the launch day March 5th from 2 to 4PM, said the company. It will also be available on Amazon.in, in addition to realme website.

Worldwide smartphone market predicted to decline by 2.3% in 2020 due to Coronavirus outbreak: IDC

The uncertainty in the spread of the Coronavirus outbreak is now starting to affect the worldwide smartphone shipment recovery for the year 2020, with IDC predicting a 2.3% decline, down to 1.3 billion shipments. The first half of 2020 will see a decline of 10.6% YoY, with the market predicted to only make up ground in the second half with accelerated 5G efforts.

It was supposed to get the update in April 2020, according to its schedule, but the company has rolled it out early. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite Review: Lite in every aspect except..!

Samsung tried to challenge the upper mid-range series of smartphone with Galaxy A series, but it doesn’t pan out as expected. In this regard, the South Korean tech giant has changed its road map by launching a new smartphone in a price segment it had not concentrated much on in the last few years.

Came out of nowhere, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite is pitted against the likes of OnePlus 7T, Realme X2 Pro and other smartphones between Rs. 30000 to Rs. 40000. Having said that, we have jotted down list of points why you should and should not buy this smartphone.

Vivo Z6 5G with 6.57-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 765G, liquid cooling, 48MP quad rear cameras, 5000mAh battery announced

Vivo has announced Z6 5G, the company’s first mid-range 5G smartphone in China. It packs a 6.57-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 90.74% screen-to-body ratio, a 3.85mm tiny punch-hole that houses a 16-megapixel camera sensor. It is powered by Snapdragon 765G with up to 8GB RAM and has support for liquid cooling to reduce the temperature by up to 10°C. The phone runs Android 10 with vivo’s own Funtouch OS 10, and features quad rear cameras that includes 48MP main camera with f/1.79 aperture, 8MP 112° ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP 4cm super macro lens and a 2MP portrait lens. HTC has introduced Wildfire R70, the company’s latest smartphone in India after Wildfire X back in August last year. It has a 6.53-inch HD+ waterdrop notch display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, is powered by MediaTek Helio P23 SoC with 2GB RAM, runs Android Pie, has a 16-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel super macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensing camera for portrait shots. OPPO has launched A31 smartphone in India after it was introduced in Indonesia recently. The phone packs a 6.5-inch HD+ screen, is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 SoC with 4GB of RAM, packs 12-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel depth and 2-megapixel cameras. India wearables market grows by 168.3% YoY with 14.9 million shipments, earwear grows 443% YoY: IDC

The Indian wearable market saw a massive growth of 168.3% year-over-year (YoY) growth in 2019, shipping about 14.9 million units during the year. Of this 5.1 million units were shipped in the Q4 of 2019 alone. Ear-wear saw a huge YoY growth of 443.6% and wrist band wearables saw a growth of 52.6% YoY.

Apple to open its first retail store in India in 2021, online store this year: Tim Cook

Rumors about Apple’s own retail outlet in India has been surfacing for quite some time now. Yesterday at its annual shareholders meeting at Steve Jobs Theater Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that Apple will open its first retail store in India in 2021. He said that the company had to seek special approval for this because the Indian government wanted it to work with a partner. “We wouldn’t be a very good partner in retail. Based on code found iOS 13.4 beta, Apple may be testing a method of recovery for iOS based devices via the internet. This will reduce the dependance on devices such as the iPhone, iPad and others on the Mac or PC for restoring its firmware.
