ASUS ROG Phone 3 with 6.59-inch FHD+ 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 865+ 5G, 6000mAh battery launched in India starting at Rs. 49999

ASUS just launch the ROG Phone 3, the company’s latest gaming smartphone in India, as it had promised. It packs a 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED HDR AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch-sampling rate, 25ms touch latency, is one of the first phones to be powered by Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC with up to 12GB (16GB in global market) of RAM. It has redesigned Copper 3D vapor chamber, larger graphite film that dissipates the heat even faster with the assistance of a heat sink that is 6X larger than the one used in ROG Phone II. Apple iPhone may feature periscope camera lens in 2022

Apple analyst, Ming Chi-Kuo, has released a report that reveals lens suppliers will be Apple utilising for their future smartphones. While the news of Apple switching to Semco and Sunny Optical is by itself not very interesting, what is interesting is the Semco is expected to supply Apple with periscope lenses in the 2nd half of 2020.

LG VELVET with 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display, Snapdragon 765 5G starts rolling out in the US

LG unveiled its LG VELVET smartphone back in May in an online event and it started rolling out in South Korea from May 15th. Now it has announced the roll out of the phone in the US at $599 (Rs. 44,660 approx.) from AT&T beginning today, July 22. It will be available from T-Mobile and Verizon later this summer.  LG VELVET 5G UW with access to its 5G Ultra Wideband network and 5G low-band network will be available from Verizon later this year.
