Lenovo Legion Pro gaming phone with FHD+ 144Hz display, Snapdragon 865+, 16GB RAM to be announced on July 22 [Update: Official image]


Update: July 17, 2020 – Lenovo has posted the official image of the phone that shows a no-notch screen, side-mounted pop-up front camera and dual rear cameras near the centre.

The 20MP pop-up camera can rise in 0.496 seconds and go back in 0.5 seconds and has been tested over 400,000 times for durability, said the company.

After teaser Lenovo today confirmed that it will introduce its first Legion gaming phone on July 22nd, the same day of the ASUS ROG Phone 3 is announced. It has also confirmed that it will be one of the first smartphones to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 865+ Mobile Platform with up to 3.1 GHz prime core offering 10% increase in CPU and GPU performance.

The company already confirmed dual 45W ports (90W) for fast charging support for the phone,  newly designed heat dissipation architecture, 14 temperature sensors, dual X-axis linear motors, additional USB Type-C port on the side useful when gaming.

The phone with the model number L79031 bas passed through AnTuTu benchmark revealing  648871 points, slightly less than 646310 points for the ROG Phone 3. The reavels Full HD+ (2340×1080 pixels) with 144Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

We should know more details about the phone when it gets certified by TENAA.
