Xiaomi just announced the launch of a new Redmi smartphone on November 30th, few weeks after the launch of new Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite in the new ‘Y series’ in the country. The company is calling it Desh Ka Smartphone, so it will likely be the a budget smartphone. This could the Redmi 5A that was introduced in China last month as the successor to the Redmi 4A. Even the image in the teaser looks somewhat similar to the Redmi 5A.

HMD Global today launched Nokia 2, the company’s latest budget smartphone. It was introduced last month at an event in the country and packs a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 4100mAh battery that promises up to 2 days of battery life on a single charge. It runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with support for Google Assistant and the company has promised Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for the phone. Rumors of upcoming Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ started surfacing a few weeks back. Now @evleaks aka Evan Blass at VentureBeat is reporting that the Galaxy S9 series will be an iterative update in “tock” cycle, since the Galaxy S8 was a major upgrade as a part of “tick” cycle. These flagships are expected to be previewed at the CES 2018 in Las Vegas in January, but it is not clear how much information about the devices will be revealed at CES, says the report. Last month Bharti Airtel and Tata today announced that they have entered into an agreement to merge Consumer Mobile Businesses (CMB) of Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) and Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Limited (TTML) into Bharti Airtel. Today Airtel has announced that starting today, Tata Teleservices customers will start transitioning to the Airtel mobile network under an Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) arrangement.

Hike introduced version 5.0 of its Messenger app back in June with new UI along with Hike Wallet to allow users to send and receive money. At that time Hike said that it had tied up with Yes Bank for UPI and wallet service. Today the company has announced its partnership with Airtel Payments Bank to power its Wallet. Hike said that it has over 100 millions users and in just 5 months of launch of Wallet, it has seen over 5 million transactions every month, growing 30% month on month. Earlier: Xiaomi launched Redmi 4 running MIUI 8 based on Marshmallow back in May, the company rolled out Nougat based Stable ROM to the users a fortnight ago just before the MIUI 9 Global launch. As per the announcement, Redmi 4 was kept in the second batch of devices along with Mi 5, Mi Max and others which were supposed to receive the update in mid-Nov. Yesterday evening, some users started reporting that they are receiving a new OTA update as Nightly build on their Redmi 4 devices. Gionee already said that it will introduce eight smartphones with full-screen displays as a part of its winter lineup at an event on November 26th. The company’s VP Yu Lei today posted a new teaser showing off the F6 and F205 smartphones with full-screen displays. The Gionee F6 is the successor of F5 that was introduced earlier this year.
