The LG G4 is one of the first Android smartphones outside the Nexus and Android One family to receive the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The roll out began in the later half of October with G4s in Poland getting the update first. Now, the update is apparently hitting the G4 across parts of Europe.

Microsoft started sign-ups for public beta of Cortana for iOS earlier this month, now the company has started rolling out the app via Apple’s TestFlight for the users, which is limited to 2,000 testers per application. The original survey indicated that Cortana for iOS would be available in the U.S. and China, so beta testing is currently limited. Ringo, a popular international calling app was launched in India earlier this year. Today it has launched local and STD calling in India that lets you call any landline or mobile in the country at a flat rate of 19 p/min, without any additional charges like roaming or top-up cards. “Unlike other VOIP apps in the market, Ringo uses telephone networks instead of phone data or the Internet for a phone call, and thus offers superior calling experience, without any call drops,” said the company. Google, like most of us, are fans of Star Wars. With the release of Episode VII scheduled to release next month, they have decided to release themes for their apps that celebrate one of the most famous movie franchises of all time.
Opera launched its Opera Max data compression app for Android in India back in June. This compresses cellular data across all contents such as videos, photos, media, almost all apps and websites. It got updated with support for data compression for videos on YouTube and Netflix in August, today it has updated the app to support compression on YouTube Music, Pandora, Slacker Radio, Gaana, and Saavn apps. Google has just released v3.1 of its camera app that brings UI changes. Users of Marshmallow devices will now be able to have the camera UI of the Nexus 5X and 6P on their devices too.
Skype for Android has received a major update that brings several new features that includes, ability to delete conversations, save video messages, share images directly to a group conversation and enhanced search.
