Nokia 5.1 Plus / X5 with 5.86-inch 19:9 display, 6GB RAM, dual rear cameras, Android 8.1 gets certified

HMD Global announced the Nokia 5.1, successor of last year’s Nokia 5 last month. After Bluetooth certification, Nokia smartphone with the model number TA-1109 has been certified by TENAA. This could be released as Nokia X5 in China and Nokia 5.1 Plus in other markets. This reveals a 5.86-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 19:9 aspect  ratio and a notch, and it will be powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core SoC with up to 6GB of RAM. LG’s first Android One phone with 5.5-inch FHD+ display, Android 8.1, Hi-Fi Quad DAC surfaces

Honor V12 with dual rear cameras passes through the FCC, gets certified on TENAA

Huawei’s Honor brand  announced its flagship Honor V10 smartphone in China back in November last year, now the Honor V12 has passed the the FCC and has also been certified by TENAA. However this is listed as X-Honor V12 and there is also a branding on the back of the phone, which could be a new series. OPPO A5 with 6.2-inch 19:9 FullView display, 4GB RAM, dual rear cameras, Android 8.1 gets certified

Earlier: OPPO smartphones with model numbers PBAM00 / PBAT00 have been certified by TENAA in China. This reveals a budget smartphone with a 6.2-inch HD+ screen with 19:9 aspect ratio, minimal bezels, 1.8GHz Octa-Core SoC, which could be Snapdragon 450,  Android 8.1 (Oreo) with ColorOS 5.0, 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots. It will come with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and will like come with face unlock, however it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. Samsung Gear S4 could pack a bigger battery, might be announced alongside Galaxy Note9 in August

Samsung is expected to introduce its flagship Galaxy Note9 smartphone in August, now a new rumor from Korea says that the Gear S4 smartwatch will be introduced along with it. Another rumor from China says that it will come with a 470mAh battery compared to 380mAh in the predecessor. Even though it was expected that Samsung’s next smartwatch will use Wear OS, it will likely stick with Tizen OS. Samsung Galaxy S10 said to ditch the earpiece for a 6.2-inch sound-emitting edge-to-edge display

Samsung showcased an interesting sound-emitting display concept at the Society of Information Displays (SID) 2018 expo last month. Samsung says that the panel uses vibration and bone conduction to eliminate the need for an earpiece. This also helps in extending the screen all the way from top to bottom.
